actually glxgears does the funny thing with the border if I open another window in front of it (and glxgears appears above that window) so it's not STK that is directly causing the redraw problem. Is an nvidia graphic card. Is a discrete card. Is part of the motherboard, nothing fancy. The only thing i noticed (just now) is that the sound is out of sync. There is an error in the terminal: WARNING: Music not playing when it should be.
