Re: [openthinclient-user] OTC-Pales : No LDAP connection

2016-03-08 Thread Jörn Frenzel
Hi,

let me correct it a bit. We did not kick out nic drivers in 2.1 (pales).
We just changed the buildsystem and the way we're picking existing drivers.

Can you please send me the command output of "lspci -nnk" from consus.

Thanks, Jörn

Re: [openthinclient-user] Problems with Display on Pales

2016-03-08 Thread Julian Ohm
ok the minerva version ist working so far. But I have a problem with my
smartcard reader. It's a "ReinerSCT secoder". Because I used minerva and
this smartcardreader and rdesktop 2 weeks before, I'm sure that it have
to work. Just now after the crash an the new thinclient vm appliance
there is that problem.

I think there was a pakage to put into some directory to use that
cardreader and perhabs there is also a parameter to start rdesktop. I'm
using as paramter "-r scard".

Has someone an idea how to fix my problem?

best regards
Julian

Hi Bernd,

thanks for your hint with the "install" section. Please try to think
as a normal user, go to openthinclient.org und try to find a way to
get to that "install" section. I found the downloadlink and a link to
the wiki and faq. But that install section is not easy to find.
Perhaps it could be a good idea to put this to the faq or wiki.

the hardware is

IGEL 564 LX thinclient

Hope you have an idea to fix this.

Hi Julian,

as you already figured out the appliance password is: „openthinclient"

You could have saved yourself the time if you had taken a look at
the „Install"
section in our appliance download section where it is already
documented.

https://sourceforge.net/projects/openthinclient/files/virtual-appliance/

There you can also download old appliances. (Ceres 1.1 or Consus 2.0)
Please note that we don’t support these versions anymore.

Regarding your flickering issue with Pales
What kind of graphic card / ThinClient hardware do you use?

If all possible I would suggest that you open a bug report on Github.
https://github.com/openthinclient/os-core/issues

The old installers likely won’t help since they don’t run with current
Java 8 versions.

Best Regards,
Bernd

Is there a vm image with openthinclient 1.x ? Or can I download

everything. same error as on the windows server. Stripes in the middle

Hi

After a new Server setup, I now try the pales version and no
longer version 1.0

of openthinclient. But now i have big problems with the grafic.

The monitor is flickering and has stripes.

Because of the firewallsettings I also tried the pales vm
appliance, but i can't
find the password. in the old otc it was 0pen%TC but that does
not work any

longer

Hope someone can help.

[openthinclient-user] Pales - Test in VMWare Workstation - Clients nur schwarzer Bildschirm

2016-03-08 Thread Andreas Mayer

Hallo,

(Ubuntu, Other Linux 2.6 und Other Linux 3.0). Bei allen das gleiche
Ergebnis.

Konfiguriert habe ich die Thinclients als

 * Autologin Client DE
 * Mit der Anwendung Desktop

Andreas Mayer
