[Origami] Book discounted

2020-03-26 Thread Meenakshi Mukerji
Hi,

Now that we have more time to fold, I temporarily discounted the price of
my book, Origami All Kinds: Single Sheet and Modular Designs, by 25%. While
I do not have control over production costs and Amazon's share, I have
slashed my own royalty by nearly two thirds. The new price is a steal for a
110p, full color book. You can find on most Amazons worldwide.

Book details: http://origamee.net/book7/index.html
The flyer is on my homepage: http://origamee.net/

If you are interested in reviews, here are a couple of links:
https://origamiusa.org/thefold/article/book-review-origami-all-kinds-single-sheet-and-modular-designs-meenakshi-mukerji

https://www.happyfolding.com/book-mukerji-origami_all_kinds

Keep calm and fold on!

Thanks,
Meenakshi

Re: [Origami] Better Kami?

2020-03-26 Thread David W
Hi Ian,

I find that most of the papers the Origami Shop sell are tougher than
kami. In particular the golden river paper is my favorite and their tissue
foil is pretty neat too. They are expensive. Probably the best cheap
solution that is durable is double tissue.

I found that if I only burnish a crease the first time I make it and
burnish to better settle complex sinks and collapses and the rest of the
time keep a light touch to the folding, it is much less likely for to
fatigue or tear kami and the paper still looks crisp and sharp at the end.
