Hi Lorenzo,
I didn't attend the workshop but I think it's a 12 unit assembly of the
Simplified Sonobe Module - Bicolor Diabolo pattern in Origami for the
Connoisseur pg44.

 Hi everybody,
Does anyone know where this Kasahara cube was published? I learned it at the
last GOC2 online event.
It's a 12 module cube, but when looking into Gilad website, and browsing all
the Kasahare cubes made by 12 modules, I only find two and neither of them are
the one depicted here.

Kind regards,Lorenzo

Hi Erica,

Daniela Carboni's "Origami 2D" is a booklet, Quaderni di Quadrato Magico #59,
published by the CDO. You can find it in their shop but the purchase is for
members only and now it's closed for the convention.

Dear friends,

the Centro Diffusione Origami convention is sadly cancelled, like many other
events this year.To replace it, the CDO has decided to organize an online
convention from November 13th to November 15th. This convention will be on Zoom
and it will be free for CDO members and at a small fee for non-members.

We are still working out the final schedule but you can already find
informations and forms here:

I always say 'fold sides to sides' and I call the creases 'middle lines'.

When I fold corner to corner I make a diagonal fold and I have created a

or to make the diagonals.

When I fold side to side I make a book fold and I have created a ... what? When
instructing I can tell them to fold sides to sides, or to make the ... what?
Certainly not the books :-)

When making each of these steps, I get the diagonal cross and the ... what ...
cross?

In Danish I call them “diagonalfolder” and “tværfolder”, where “tværs” means
across, and I get a “diagonalkryds” and a “tværkryds” where “kryds” means cross.

That is, I do not know, in English, the name of the crease that goes from the
centre of one edge to the centre of the opposite edge. And I do not know the
name of the cross made from two of those creases.

I hope somebody can clear up this terminology for me.

In italian we call them "ottaedro piramidato" and "icosaedro piramidato" that
you can translate into the terms suggested by Meenakshi.

Dear O-listers,

speaking of origami and didactics, the CDO and other institutions are
organizing the 4th Italian convention that will be held in Senigallia between
13 and 15 April 2018.
We do not have any funding, but we have taken the opportunity of participating
in a project that gives economic support for the top 10 nonprofit projects that
are most valued.
So we ask for your support:
If you have not already done it, please go to the link at the bottom of this
text and click on "Vota Progetto": you will see a window asking you to vote via
mobile (SMS) or with Facebook. * You can vote in both ways giving the project 4
points! * You will not spend anything.

* It is very important to vote via Facebook *, because it allows to triple the
value of the vote. After voting, a thank-you window will appear and down will
give *mipi* to the FB page of Renner Italia: click on "I Like" to earn 2 extra
points.
