[Origami] Antelope Valley, CA, USA, Origami Meetings - Reminder for May; Report for April
There are two meetings each month, for people who want to do paper-folding, in the Antelope Valley, Mojave Desert, California, USA. 01 May: The next RUFF (Rosamond Upbeat Folding Fanatics) meeting will be held on --- the First Wednesday of May, 01 May, from 5-7pm, at the Rosamond Public Library. 04 May: The next HiDEF (Hi-Desert Enthusiastic Folders) meeting will be held on --- Saturday, 04 May, from 1-4pm, at the Lancaster Public Library. For the May meetings I will be prepared to teach the following origamies: - Square-Base Basket. - Star Basket. - Hex Letterfold. - And as always, if someone else wants to teach something or has a model they want to fold, bring your stuff! I can also teach other simple and intermediate models as needed. * Last Month’s Meeting Reports At the April RUFF meeting, we folded: - Simple Snake. - Zig the Bunny, by Cathy Wilimzig and/or Stephen O’Hanlon. - Origamido Butterfly, by Michael LaFosse. There are two meetings each month, for people who want to do paper-folding, in the Antelope Valley, Mojave Desert, California, USA. 06 Mar: The next RUFF (Rosamond Upbeat Folding Fanatics) meeting will be held on --- the First Wednesday of March, 06 Mar, from 5-7pm, at the Rosamond Public Library. 16 Mar: The next HiDEF (Hi-Desert Enthusiastic Folders) meeting will be held on --- March 16th, from 1-4pm, at the Lancaster Public Library. For the March meetings I will be prepared to teach the following origamies: - Waterbomb (traditional). By request of some of the RUFF attendees. - Simple, Traditional Blow-Up Bunny. Very cute design, just in time for Easter. - Another Blow-Up Bunny. This one features nicer ears, and a square face, which is cute, nevertheless. - Two-Piece Triangle Decoration. This origami came up in conversation at last month’s HiDEF meeting. I found my quick-and-dirty diagram and will bring it in March. - And as always, if someone else wants to teach something or has a model they want to fold, bring your stuff! There will be no HiDEF meeting at the Lancaster Library, on 05 Jan (I, at least, will not be there). 02 Jan: The next RUFF (Rosamond Upbeat Folding Fanatics) meeting will be held on --- the First Wednesday of January, 02 Jan, from 5-7pm, at the Rosamond Public Library. For the January RUFF meeting I will be prepared to teach the following origamies: - Dahlia. Design: Hajime Komiya. I’ll also bring pin-backs and brads, so we can make pins from them. - Mouse.
