Re: BLM and land use... works, but no lakes?
I'm glad it works for you. What is the QGIS method? Request for public transport tagging check / relations not updating on Live?
Hi all, I recently saw that OsmAnd now supports public transit routing - that's great! Thanks to all involved in implementing this. I tried converting one of my local tram routes to PTv2 for optimal support and I'm having some issues, namely: routing doesn't use the route, and route number doesn't show when choosing the stop. The stop is also showing with a bus icon, not a tram one. However, the route can be seen from a nearby bus stop under "nearby routes", and I can browse through the stops in this way. Exiting out of that view, and clicking into the stop I was just seeing loses the association again. Possibly relevant: this bus stop is part of a bus route relation which was last edited on 14 April. OSM Inspector sees no issues, it shows the routes as valid. Could someone double-check https://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/9585574 and see if there are possible issues? I wanted to ask before converting any further lines... Possible debugging data: - I have OsmAnd+ installed from F-Droid https://f-droid.org/en/packages/net.osmand.plus/ - I enabled OsmAnd Live and have nightly updates - the route relation was upgraded to PTv2 on 13 May - I notice that https://osmand.net/list.php shows the area as a whole being updated on 1 May Is it perhaps that OsmAnd Live loses track of relation changes (or doesn't keep track of them by design)? I will report back in early June when the entire local index updates. Thanks, --Jarek -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Osmand" group. It works beautifully, and is a lot easier and more general than the QGIS method I posted a few weeks ago. And I tried Bart's tip for reservoirs, which worked (thanks to you too!) but only after some fiddling. By default, the underlay map has Base Map Transparency of 100%, and if I turn on Show Polygons, I see the base (offline vector) map, including reservoirs, but the BLM land use map disappears. But if I set Base Map Transparency to 50% *and* turn on Show Polygons, I can see both reservoir and land use. I can also see both if I use it as an Overlay (which I guess always shows polygons? It doesn't have an option for that) rather than an Underlay map -- though the first time I tried it as an Overlay it didn't show and I'm not sure why. Are there any arguments in favor of underlay vs. overlay, or are they pretty much equivalent? I don't suppose there's an option to download map tiles only when on wi-fi? I couldn't find anything like that in the Online Maps Settings, though there is a checkbox where I could temporarily turn off updates. ...Akkana -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Osmand" group. Re: Is it possible to import a list of POI from a spreadsheet?
Search csv 2 gpx in Google. You will find several programs or websites that solve your problem. Am Montag, 27. Stronger off-route indication
I often use Osmand to follow gpx tracks. If I go off-route I think there is a single voice message along the lines of "You have been off the route for 50 metres". After that, the only indication is the on-screen position (which I might not look at for a while). Another voice prompt can interrupt the off-route notification in which case I might not get the chance to hear it at all. It would be helpful to have a more persistent message. Even a single repeat at 100m would be an improvement. Better would be a regular repeat unless cancelled by, say, switching the screen on, with a reset when I rejoin the route. BLM and land use... works, but no lakes?
Greetings all, One feature that I had been missing from Osmand for a long time - and others in the US I'm sure would agree - is the ability to display the land use areas and what areas are national forest/BLM/etc. I finally found a way to get it to download and show the public domain BLM maps! The steps are documented here: https://howtotrainyourrobot.com/adding-blm-land-use-maps-to-osmand-on-android/ This is handy but I noticed that lakes seem to not show when BLM map is the underlay.
