Make a separate map for GPX-tracks

I,ve been trying to make a new map for my GPX-tracks in My PLaces, 
GPX-Tracks
Thrue :my places : tapping a GPX-track :change place :add new map: add.

Then the app says : can not change change place.
How can I create a new storage map?

How can I install google maps for car use only? When I change the 
parameters, I don't see a google maps map.

Hallo,

Sinds kort heb ik een Nokia 7.2 met daarop OSMAND.
Als ik een te lopen of fietsen route wil opnemen lukt dat niet.

Wat doe ik:
-- ik klik op het rondje rechts boven voor opnemen route
-- stel in om de 5 seconden
-- er verschijnt rood bolletje, ten teken dat er opgenomen wordt
-- vervolgens zet ik de telefoon op standby (dus app loopt wel, maar er is 
geen beeld)
-- ik ga lopen of fietsen
-- na enige tijd kijk ik wat de afstand is die ik heb afgelegd
-- er blijkt niets te zijn opgenomen (of slechts een paar meter 
waarschijnlijk tot het punt dat ik de telefoon in standby heb gezet)
-- als ik de telefoon niet in standby zet, dus heb beeld aan laat, dat 
wordt er wel opgenomen

voorheen had ik een Samsung J5 2016, die kon ik wel in standby zetten en 
het opnemen van de route ging gewoon door.

Is iemand hiermee bekend, of is er e.o.a. instelling die ik moet doen 
(misschien vanwege een ondertussen nieuwere versie??)

Osm file which contains which maps are installed

Hi,

Concerns OSMAND on Android.
I copied the NL map (OBF) to the .files folder "manually" on Android.
There were no messages in the previous version of OSMAND.(3.4)
Since I downloaded the latest version of OSMAND (3.5.5 a few days ago), 
there are messages.
The message always asked if I want to download a detailed map of the 
relevant country-part (which is actualy on the screen).
However, I already have the relevant card !!! and that works fine !!!

Ask:
1) How can I turn off these notifications?
or...
2) In which file or ... how does OSMAND keep track of which card is 
installed? Perhaps an adjustment can be made to prevent the messages from 
coming again.

location of OSMAND maps for android

Where is the (www) location of *OSMAND maps* for download a map (eg. The 
Netherlands).
In past I download a map, but can't find the location on the internet any 
more.

Hi everyone,

to wrap this one up:

With support from... support, I rechecked all settings, ni that process I 
put the map source from offline vector to online back to offline vector. 
That seemed to fix it.
Some additional info from support:

In case you can enable the plugin, but do not see the contour lines, please 
make sure that you do not use any underlay/overlay maps and have Offline 
Vector maps set as the Map Source in Configure map menu. Also, please note 
that you need to download offline contour line maps along with the standard 
maps of the regions you want to view in Download maps.
Please make sure that you use the same zoom level to view the map, which is 
selected for the Contour Lines. You can change the zoom level for the 
Contour lines display in OsmAnd menu - Configure map - Contour Lines.

and

This may have happened because of the cache files. If this issue ever 
reoccurs, please try clearing the cache for OsmAnd app and restart the 
device.

Contour lines on android don't seem to work

Hi guys. New to the forum here.. have been using osmand on and off for cycling. 
For cycling in the mountains I want to use the contour lines plugin. What I've 
done so far:

Purchased plugin
Enabled plugin in plugin manager
Downloaded Swiss contour lines map.
Enabled contour lines in configure map.
Still the lines aren't showing. Any tips?

I've OSMAND on mobile phone installed with map of The Netherlands.
Is that map being updated since installation or. must I download a map 
of The Nertherlands again to get te updates of that map?

Home screen icon changed to Google maps icon

Sometime in the past few weeks, the icon for Osmand on my home screen 
changed to the same one as Google maps, see picture: 







I don't know exactly when this happened (e.g. with an upgrade).
Fairphone 1, Android 4.2.2, no fancy apps installed that tinker with 
icons/layouts...

Is there a way to fix this (other then removing and reinstalling, which I 
assume wil help).

What about MapFactor Navigator? I am always impressed with the speed with 
which it calculates 3 alternative routes, also for long distances. I use 
OsmAnd for my daily navigation, but I use Navigator for planning.

Quick Action Button for toilets (subcategories of favourites)

Is it possible to add a quick action for toilets?
When I chose the button and want to add an action I can add POIs. That's 
fine but I can only chose from the predefined categories like tourism for 
instance.
In the tourism category there are many things like toilets for instance.

To quickly find a toilet it would be nice to have a quick action just for 
that but I don't succeed to do this in Osmand.

Where is routing.xls in OsmAnd 2.6?

calculation. I was looking for routing.xls, but I don't find it anywhere on 
my device. How can I change parameters?

How remove item from XML file

Hi,

I use Osmand + BaseCamp (garmin).

When I record a track with  Osmand (mobile phone) and send that file to pc 
with BaseCamp there comes an error.
"unknown error while opening file.etc"

I checked that the  item makes the error After remove those 
lines, the import in BaseCamp is OK.

So ...
1) can Osmand save track without  items?
or
2) how to import those files (with  items in it) in BaseCamp?

The example is the NATO Training Ground Munster in Germany. (simply search for 
"Munster" in Germany and you should see the marked areas).

Switch for using routes through Military training grounds.

Hey Guys,

I've used OSMand a few years ago and started to use it again last week.
I've installed it because I'm working in the emergency medical service and 
we needed to find a route to drive through one of 3 NATO military training 
grounds we have in our region (Munster & Bergen in Lower Saxony, Germany).
So we searched for a navigation app which contains the streets of the 
training grounds and found that OSM / OSMand does but also we noticed that 
the routing tries to find a way around the training ground.
So it would be great if routing through military training grounds would be 
an option under options -> street types to prevent.

Where are OSM uploads locally stored?

In an attempt to reinstall OsmAnd+ to get rid of frequent crashes I lost OSM 
changes that were not yet uploaded. I can't find them in the "files" folder. 
Where are they stored?
