I had the same problem on 9.1 It's because mod_perl isn't installed correctly. I never could get it to work with mod_perl. [otrs] Reply-to address
Does anyone know how I can jerry rig my otrs installation to do this... I want all outgoing messages to replace the normal from: address with [EMAIL PROTECTED] and leave the reply-to address as the otrs address that it normally has as the from. basically, if the messages from my otrs box are from [EMAIL PROTECTED] I want it to replace the from: address with [EMAIL PROTECTED] and leave the reply-to address as [EMAIL PROTECTED] We aren't using this box for anything else (related to email, that is) except for otrs. Other apps, but not utilizing email. Here is a partial list for 9.2 1. rpm -q otrs = 1.2.4-2 whereas current release version is 1.3.x 2. apache integration is incomplete and fails to load: perl errors, cgi permission errors and incorrect syntax in httpd.conf 3. yast integration is incomplete and fails to setup otrs on SuSe9.2 4. I made these changes in an effort to get what I wanted (the reply-to address) but it didn't seem to change anything in the way that otrs sends the messages. Any ideas? Hello all, I've just installed otrs and don't configure it fully. There is some missing in docs I think, because there is no any chapters about how to get starting or step by step configuration. It's really difficult.. While I'm trying to configure it I have a question. Is it possible to make that the customers don't have to register first for posting the tickets. Maybe it's possible to have a form where they just put their name, email and message and when submit it they receive password and I have a ticket in system. Would be it's possible to do as I want? Alex, What version are you installing? Linux, Win etc. Also you have to edit the config.pm file in the kernel folder to your needs. Users don't need to register to send tickets (Keep reading). Hallo, was ist denn alles zu beachten wenn ich eine Mandatenkopie im OTRS machen will, dass heisst einen Systemexport und Import unter einer anderen System ID fahren will ? Zur Erklärung: Ich will zu Testzwecken auf dem OTRS Host ein Testsystem unserer Produktivumgebung aufbauen. Dabei habe ich über mehrere Möglichkeiten nachgedacht. a) MySQL Dump und Restore in andere Datenbank (otrstest) Zusätzlich eine Kopie des Verzeichnisses /opt/otrs nach /opt/otrstest und anpassen der Config.pm darin. b) Mandantenkopie (andere SystemID) in der selben Datenbank wie OTRS produktiv Welche möglichkeit ist hier zu Empfehlen ? Was währe denn bei a) noch zu beachten (cronjobs etc.) ? Für a) spricht die einfache Realisierbarkeit, jedoch muss dann Backup etc. angepasst werden. Für b) spricht, dass keine Änderungen an Backups etc notwendig sind. Nicht, dass ich wüsste. Es wurde jedenfalls nichts derartiges gestartet/installiert. Findest Du in den Logfiles irgend etwas zum Thema? dort finde ich nur Einträge von heute, die mit einem neuen (?) Rechte-Problem zusammenhängen: Ich wollte die cronjobs als user otrs von Hand starten und habe deshalb ein user-pw gesetzt. Seitdem können keine neuen Tickets mehr erzeugt werden ('Software error: Can't write /opt/otrs/var/log/TicketCounter.log: at /opt/otrs//Kernel/System/Ticket/Number/AutoIncrement.pm line 66.) Auch die Rechtschreibkontrolle bricht mit einer Fehlermeldung ab ('Fehler: Can't write spell tmp text to /opt/otrs/var/tmp/spell.3916: Keine Berechtigung') Zu diesen Fehlern gibt es entspr. Einträge im System Log. Das PW habe ich wieder gelöscht, die Fehler aber bleiben. Ich bin nicht sicher, ob und wie diese Fehler zusammenhängen, weiß aber auch im Moment nicht mehr weiter. Hallo, ich habe heute am 20.01.2005 OTRS 2.0.x aus dem CVS geholt und in Debian/Sarge installiert. Es funktioniert auch soweit alles. Nun will ich, das ausgehende Mails automatisch mit pgp signiert werden. Einen Schlüssel habe ich unter [PGP Schlüssel Management ] hoch geladen. Wo stelle ich ein, das dieser beim Mail senden verwendet wird? Oder sollte ich diese Frage in einer anderen OTRS-Liste stellen? Hallo, ich habe das Szenario a) ausprobiert und leider funktioniert es nicht so 100%ig. Platform: SLES8, OTRS 1.3.1-01, MySQL, Apache (kein SSL) Ich bin dabei wie folgt vorgegangen: - Datenbankdump Produktionsdatenbank - Anlegen Testdatenbank (inkluive neuem Datenbankuser) - Import des Datenbankdumps in Testdatenbank - Kopie des otrs Verzeichnisses - Anlegen eines zweiten otrs nutzers (anderer Name, UID und Home(=neues OTRS home)) - Ändern des Besitzers im neuen OTRS home (find . -user otrs -exec chown ...) - Anpassen der datei /opt/otrstest/../apache-httpd.include.conf - Anpassen der Config.pm des Testsystems (Datenbank Connection, NICHT die SystemID, da es eine 1:1 Kopie sein soll) - Kopie und Anpassung /etc/sysconfig/otrs nach /etc/sysconfig/otrstest - Kopie und Anpassung /etc/init.d/otrs nach /etc/init.d/otrstest Nachdem ich dann im Handbuch den Hinweis über mod_perl-1 und mod_perl-2 gefunden habe, habe ich auch noch folgendes durchgeführt: - Aufsetzen eines 2. Apache servers (Port 8000) - Anpassen /etc/httpd/suse_include.conf (Ich weiss wird automatisch erzeugt, aber nur beim 1. apache :) Dies müsste doch die Umgebunden streng trennen. Nach ersten Tests sieht es auch so aus, als das die Systeme auf verschiedenen OTRS Datenbeständen arbeiten (Ein Ticket im Testsystem gelöscht, im Produktivsystem weiter vorhanden) Ein Kurisosum habe ich jedoch festgestellt: Wenn ich mich am Testsystem abmelde werde ich auch am Produktivsystem abgemeldet. Was kann da die Erklärung sein ? Sollte nicht pro HTTPD ein mod_perl geladen werden ?
