[Bug 1418572] New: Review Request: compat-libwebp05 - Compat package with libwebp 0.5 libraries

2017-02-01 Thread bugzilla
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1418572

Bug ID: 1418572
   Summary: Review Request: compat-libwebp05 - Compat package with
libwebp 0.5 libraries
   Product: Fedora
   Version: rawhide
 Component: Package Review
  Severity: medium
  Priority: medium
  Assignee: nob...@fedoraproject.org
  Reporter: klem...@redhat.com
QA Contact: extras...@fedoraproject.org
CC: package-review@lists.fedoraproject.org

Spec URL: https://kalev.fedorapeople.org/compat-libwebp05.spec
SRPM URL: https://kalev.fedorapeople.org/compat-libwebp05-0.5.2-1.fc26.src.rpm
Description:
Compatibility package with libwebp 0.5 librarires.

Fedora Account System Username: kalev

Koji scratch build:
https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=17546698

This is a compat package to keep providing old libwebp library ABI after
libwebp 0.6.0 soname bump in rawhide/F26. The changes to the libwebp package
have been kept minimal in order to make it easy to port patches between F25
libwebp 0.5.2 and F26 compat-libwebp05 0.5.2 packages. Here's a full diff
between the two: http://paste.fedoraproject.org/542715/

[Bug 1415143] Review Request: egl-wayland - Wayland EGL External Platform library

2017-02-01 Thread bugzilla

--- Comment #21 from Simone Caronni  ---
(In reply to Nicolas Chauvet (kwizart) from comment #20)

Agree, we should just have the egl-wayland package with the library.

> - I don't see much point for a -common sub-package with only directories
> (can be merged together).
>
> I haven't read the whole thread, (and havent's tested anything yet), so I
> won't comment on where best the json file should be located.

Yes and no. It's correct that there should not be a separate package for it,
but actually Hans and my proposal was to put the directories in libglvnd-egl
and the json file in the package. Please read comment 6 and 8.

@Hans, am I correct?

[Bug 1418208] Review Request: perl-Class-Std-Fast - Faster but less secure replacement for Class::Std

2017-02-01 Thread bugzilla
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1418208

--- Comment #1 from Andrew Bauer  ---
Package builds in rawhide, package owns the files & folders it creates w/
proper permissions.

https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=17545923

- I like how you handled the license, but I'm wondering if we ought to instead
reference the actual Perl license text, rather than gpl 3, since that is what
is referred to on the class:std::fast cpan site.

See "The Perl 5 License (Artistic 1 & GPL 1)" -> http://dev.perl.org/licenses/

Doing that would then bring the license text in alignment with what is stated
in the License: field in the rpm specfile.

This is just my opinion and I am not a lawyer, so feel free to respond as you
see fit.

- perl-generators is listed twice as a buildrequires

- rpmlint spotted trivial issues with the wording in the description as shown
below.

$ rpmlint perl-Class-Std-Fast-0.0.8-1.fc25.noarch.rpm
perl-Class-Std-Fast.noarch: W: spelling-error %description -l en_US ident ->
dent, indent, i dent
perl-Class-Std-Fast.noarch: W: spelling-error %description -l en_US
scalarifiyng -> scarification
perl-Class-Std-Fast.noarch: W: spelling-error %description -l en_US scalarify
-> scarify, clarify
1 packages and 0 specfiles checked; 0 errors, 3 warnings.

$ rpmlint perl-Class-Std-Fast-0.0.8-1.fc25.src.rpm
perl-Class-Std-Fast.src: W: spelling-error %description -l en_US ident -> dent,
indent, i dent
perl-Class-Std-Fast.src: W: spelling-error %description -l en_US scalarifiyng
-> scarification
perl-Class-Std-Fast.src: W: spelling-error %description -l en_US scalarify ->
scarify, clarify
1 packages and 0 specfiles checked; 0 errors, 3 warnings.

In my opinion, this is what I would do:
"You can get the object's identity via scalar-ifying your object. Getting the
objects identity is still possible via the ident method"

rpmlint will still complain about that last "ident" but in that case the actual
name of the method is being referred to.

Since this is already packaged, we don't need a package review (Fedora only
does package reviews for brand new packages, but updates to existing packages
don't go through review).

Filip, let's talk tomorrow about it. I'll show you where the .spec file lives
and how to patch it for new updates.

Perhaps the Twig autoloader doesn't load /usr/share/php/Twig/Loader (which is
where this class is)? What do you think?

Here is another build that has your suggested autoload.php but still skips the

Okay, let's give it a try. Alternatively, you could look (or also) into bug
#1402590.

Are you sure not every license used in the parts of sqlrelay need a valid
license text for its own each? If yes, please use %license inside each
subpackage.

[Bug 1413434] Review Request: php-gettext-languages - Generate gettext language lists with plural rules

2017-02-01 Thread bugzilla
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1413434

--- Comment #5 from Randy Barlow  ---
Oh, one more thing: fedora-review is upset that php-gettext-gettext and this
package both own /usr/share/php/Gettext. I don't know a way around that without
creating a php-gettext-common package that just owns that directory, or by
making php-gettext-languages own it (which just seems weird, but maybe that's
OK?) This seems like a problem that might be common with PHP packages - is
there a common solution, or is it something that is just ignored?

Upstream had a question about whether the shebang will be printed in the output
- if you know the answer it could be helpful to chime in.

[Bug 1418396] Review Request: python-the-new-hotness - Consume Anitya fedmsg messages to file bugzilla bugs

2017-02-01 Thread bugzilla
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1418396

--- Comment #2 from Jeremy Cline  ---
Well some of the fedmsg consumers use the prefix
(https://admin.fedoraproject.org/pkgdb/package/rpms/python-fedbadges/) and some
don't (https://admin.fedoraproject.org/pkgdb/package/rpms/github2fedmsg/). I'm
not sure which is more appropriate and I don't really have a strong preference.
I assumed that most things that just provide a Python module and aren't meant
to be used as freestanding applications got the python- prefix. I thought this
was documented somewhere, but I can't seem to find it so I might have just made
that up.

--- Comment #20 from Nicolas Chauvet (kwizart) ---
I don't get the point of splitting -libs and -common (without even a main
package).
-libs isn't related to multi-libs compliance, specially as there is no main
sub-package. It's totally arbitrary sub-package, multilibs compliance is a
totally different thing.
- I don't see much point for a -common sub-package with only directories (can
be merged together).

I haven't read the whole thread, (and havent's tested anything yet), so I won't
comment on where best the json file should be located.

Description: A JavaScript datetime library that allows you to manipulate
date/times
using PHP date-time formats in JavaScript. This library was built with
an intention to read and write date/timestamps to the database easily
when working with PHP server code. Use cases for this library would
involve reading and saving a timestamp to database in one format, but
displaying it on client or HTML forms in another format. Maintaining a
consistent PHP Date time format for both server side and client side
validation should help in building extensible applications with various
PHP frameworks easily.

Thanks, looks good now, only you still have an unnecessary -devel sub-package,
nothing is going to compile time link aginst the .so so you can simply remove
the .so symlink in %install and drop the -devel.

With that fixed this looks good to me and can be approved (after a full review
is done, but I do not believe that will catch anything else).

- Verifying the input data (modulemd, RPM SPEC files and others) is available
  and correct.
- Preparing the build environment in the supported build systems, such as koji.
- Scheduling and building of the module components and tracking the build
