Yes, I finally found the selection (not very intuitive to me): Tools | Preferences | Editor Style and there is a font selection button. Unfortunately, Padre will not take the font I want to use (just installed through the Debian 8 packages (fonts-freefont-otf). I have filed a bug for the problem. You may be able to change fonts with Padre's preferences (or settings). Unfortunately, I cannot check on my system: padre no longer runs on Debian/unstable. Wondering if it's Padre, the OS, or the file. That renders fine. Thanks so much. -Tom ___ Padre-dev mailing list Padre-dev@perlide.org http://mail.perlide.org/mailman/listinfo/padre-dev
[Padre-dev] Improve Padre unicode handling
I notice the Padre editing windows on my laptop (Debian 8, Linux, 64-bit) does not display unicode characters except as one or more code boxes of some sort. Can anyone say how to fix that as a user, or is it something that can be fixed in the Padre code? I am particularly interested because of the lack of unicode editors that can handle Perl 6 and unicode well.
