About Easy Media Creator 7
Hello List! Has anyone tried Easy Media Creator 7 and, if so, how is it? I installed it previously, but never could get it to show up with my screen reader because of some focus problem. It is supposed to be like version six, but something seems to be changed in the display or colors or something, as I had no success with it. If anyone has successfully used it, I'd like to know how. Also, with Easy CD/DVD Creator 6 Platinum, I seem to have considerable trouble with direct copy. It doesn't seem to want to work. I do, however, get it to work (the burn feature shows up) every now and then, but it is hit and miss. What am I doing wrong? To get around this, I use Recordnow DX (from my Sony Dru 510 burner disc). With that program, I can burn a direct copy or anything with no trouble. I am using Direct CD from Roxio and thus have no conflict with the other packet systems. Well, thanks again for your help. hi I have had success with media 7, using hal. the icons doesn't seem to be there, so I would guess that jaws users will need to use the pc cursor or what ever its called to activate the menus. its not accessible enough but doable. hth - Original Message - From: russell Bourgoin To: PC audio discussion list. Re: WMA to MP3 Conversion
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE- Hash: SHA1 My only comment would be that (no matter what programme you use to do such a conversion) you'll be losing some quality in the end result so (unless you have a very specific reason) I wouldn't bother. To my knowledge, the only way of converting such a file is having the software decode the file and then re-encode it again. HI, and thanks. i can't find anything in nero menus for doing a format, only erase disc, which i have tried. and i don't know what INCD is. before i started using nero, i could write to a rewrite by merely using the clipboard and pasting. then when the temporary files were set up, entering file menu and entering on write these files. where in nero, does it let one format a disc. according to properties, my rewrite are set for raw file system. any help would be appreciated. brian. ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Re: WMA to MP3 Conversion
Hi Caroline, Soundforge will do this very nicely. When you save to mp3 format, you will have the choise of what size template to use, 128 bit, 64 bit, etc. Bob Prahin - Original Message - From: Caroline Ford [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: PC audio discussion list. Re: cdex and scratches
Hi Sharon. This is fairly common and that scratch sound can appear at the start of a track or at the end. I think it's caused by the encoder not being able to make a completely clean cut between the track beginning or track end. I use a program called MP3TRIM to clean up my ripped tracks. It's shareware and comes in a few flavours. The freeware version is fully functional but will only let you clean up tracks less than 5MB in size, the personal version can be purchased for about $20 and will let you clean up tracks up to 25MB and the Pro version will allow you to use certain batch functions as well as having no size limits on files that can be processed. The program is fairly accessible but does need some JAWS cursor work. Basically, you sample the beginning and end of each file where you have this problem and trim away the number of frames that will remove the sound. You can also fade in and fade out to clean up those tracks ripped from live concert recordings. There should be a place in the installer to tell winamp which icons to install, and I just pressed the space bar to unselect the emusic icon. I think this means you can download 50 songs from emusic, then you have to pay, but not sure about that. hi, What are you playing these mp3's with? With winamp, I notice a click at the biginning of each selection that I play. Sounds like the click you hear when surfing. Demo for Nero
Can someone tell me a website I can go to download a demo for Nero please. I would like to try it out before I even think about purchasing it. I did go to Nero.com and hit enter on the link for the download but when I installed it and tried to use Nero it told me my demo session was over and it wanted me to enter a user name and the serial number of the CD but I don't have a CD of Nero since I haven't bought it yet and I haven't even been able to try it out. The installation went fine so I am not sure what to do. If someone can give me a step in the right direction it would be very much appreciated.
