XM Mini-Tuner Info Updates (formally XM Passport)
I found the following article interesting and I'll be interested to know if anyone tries this product. Feed: orbitcast Title: XM Mini-Tuner Info Updates (formally XM Passport) XM Mini-Tuner The XM Passport has officially been renamed to the XM Mini-Tuner, according to an XM source. The new name does a better job of describing what the product is, and prevents confusion with other products on the market. As previously reported the XM Mini-Tuner is shipping this month, and will be broadly available in September. Price is set at $29.99 MSRP for the XM Mini-Tuner cartridge, with the home docking station for an additional $29.99 MSRP. The Mini-Tuner delivers XM's signal to all XM-Ready products - with a backwards compatabilty to products that accept the first-gen XM Connect-and-Play antenna. The cable end of the XM Mini-Tuner is identical to the end of the XM Connect and Play antenna, so the port for plugging is the exactly same. So all Connect-and-Play products will support the Mini-Tuner, and vice versa. Smart. One of the big benefits of the Mini-Tuner it's ability to be integrated into common household consumer electronics. Of some of the upcoming products that can use the XM Mini-Tuner: the Polk Audio I-Sonic home entertainment system and Sony's Blu-Ray DVD player. djc's Jukebox: http://paulmerrell.net:9212 Saturday Evenings 9 to midnight Eastern. CD Ripping Problems
I've never had trouble before but all of a sudden I can't seem to rip a cd with either cda extractor or winamp. In winamp when I go to rip the cd it says can't open decoder. Re: CD Ripping Problems
Ok problem solved. Should you run in to this trouble here's how you fix it. For winamp you need to copy the wnaspi32.dll in to the winamp folder. For easy cda extractor you need to copy the wnaspi32.dll in to the windows\system32 folder. I replaced the one I had in the system32 folder with the new one that Nero6 uses. That solved it for me. I'm running Easy cda extractor 10-A and I believe he has a slight bug in this version. When he created the tracks all that worked fine but he wrote a blank .m3u file at the end so please be aware of that. So I'm a happy camper again. djc's Jukebox: http://paulmerrell.net:9212 Saturday Evenings 9 to midnight Eastern. Backup and Restore question.
Hi Gang: Does anyone know of accessible backup and restore software that would allow one to: 1. Backup your PC with confidence; 2. Perform a restore to a completely new hard drive? The backup part is not to hard to resolve; however, it's the restore action that presents the real problem. I was thinking that, if one had a USB drive and, if the USB drive could be included as the first boot drive, one could perform a system copy which would include JFW. This would allow one to access the backup file and perform a restore back to the c-drive. Re: MP3DirectCut Version 2.03 is now Available
MP3 DirectCut is a simple audio editting program allowing MP3 editting without first decompressing to WAV. It is pretty friendly for screen readers. Features include: normalizing cut sections simple fades in and out saving section to a new file Recording MP3 files An older version, 1.39 allowed joining of 2 MP3 files. I keep a copy of this older version just to do this operation. Re: Winamp and JFW
Donna, Either you are confused, or I am about what you are asking. Winamp is a media player, for playing mp3 and other media files. If you have such a file on your hard drive, and you have Winamp properly installed an configured, all you should have to do is to click on the file, and it will play in Winamp. I'm not sure if this will function as simply if you're trying to open and play a media file located on a remote web site; it may depend on how several other configuration options are set. But, in any case, I would recommend downloading the mp3 file to your hard drive, and playing it from there. And what any of this has to do with opening an FTP page, I don't understand, at all. scheduling of total recorder?
Hello, is there a way to tell total recorder to save with a particular file name where only the date changes? at the station where i work, we're thinking about automating the recording of all talk shows. so i want to set it up in a way that allows for a given program to be recordied and saved automatically with the name of the program and the date it took place. thus each day total recorder will be expected to save like 'tony and dale show/01/08/06, and incrementally each day. is this at all possible?? many thanks. Re: Winamp and JFW
hi. I'm a bit confused about the use of the term reading the mp3 files as well. Winamp will most definitely do that, but you'll need to download them to your computer first before listening to them. As far as Winamp goes, while Winamp is open, press your insert key, and while it's held down, press the letter h for specific hot keys. You will be presented a list of these hot keys and pressing enter on that option in the list will do what that option says. Also it's important to note that Winamp has 3 windows with different functions, so to get to those different windows, press control plus tab. this is to say, while control is held down, press the tab key and you will go between the different windows. JAWS will tell you which one you are currently in. Hope this helps. At 04:09 PM 8/3/2006, you wrote: Donna, Either you are confused, or I am about what you are asking.
