this information as well as all of the documentation and software needed
to install Rockbox.

2009-04-10 Thread Tom
Julio,

I'm sorry you have this attitude toward the list. This is a
list for discussing audio. Would you go into a grocery store
and be annoyed when they wouldn't sell you a pair of shoes?

There is a note on how to remove yourself from the list at
the bottom of every message, including this one.

Sorry to see you go.

Re: selecting with audacity

2009-04-10 Thread David Bailes

Hi Ray,

I'm not sure the developers would want to add another control to the toolbars.
As an alternative, how about:
1. on the playback speed slider, the arrow keys move in 10% increments, and
page up and down move in 40% increments.
2. a shortcut key is added to open the dialog box which contains both the edit
box and the slider, so you can type in whatever value you want.

David.

thanks much I'll play with that ugly work around. Possibly a spin box or combo
box to select
those increments would be less ugly.

Going over some old PC-Audio digests, which can be a valuable thing to do,
I noticed lots of discussion on the Winamp 5.55 beta. Brought home the
fact that I've totally lost track of which is the latest Winamp, and/or
the most usable overall.

Running Wineyes with Jeff Bishop's scripts, but haven't seen one of those
call-to-update messages when signing onto Winamp for months now. Has the
update process changed, or has Nelsoft/AOL left things alone for a while?

Thanks much. Winamp and Itunes still sound the best.

Re: selecting with audacity

2009-04-10 Thread David Bailes

Hi Ray,

If you need to move the cursor by a large time increment, like 70 minutes, it's
easier to do this using the selection start spin box. It takes a little time to
get the hang of, but it's a very useful control, as you can increment or
decrement any digit in the time. For example to move forward by 70 mins, just
increment the hours digit by one, and the tens of minutes digit by one.

David.
