Soundcard Software
Hello there, I have a SoundBlaster Audagy 2ZS soundcard and I would like to reinstall the software. I have misplaced the CD and I have looked on the internet for the software but I haven't found it. Does anyone know where I could find it? I have looked on the Creative website but it is either a bit complicated or I'm just not looking hard enough. Flash video players
I'm really getting into Youtube and other video sites. Finding wonderful old TV shows bringing lots of nostalgia. The problem is sometimes the volume is to low. Turning it up causes Jaws to be to loud. So, am looking for a Flash video player that can output to my second sound card and is Jaws friendly. I have FLVPlayer 1.3.3 which came with Replay AV 8. It does not appear to have any controls that Jaws can see. I tried clicking all the graphics but can't work anything in the player. Is the latest version 2.0.25 better? Is there a better Flash player for Jaws? Bob To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: pc-audio-unsubscr...@pc-audio.org

question on cueing in soundforge 9.0E
Hi All, I use Soundforge 9.0E for e editing. When pressing the letter q, I can then select material and SF plays the selection as I move along and as I select the more. However, something I did now made SF not let me har the selected materail as I am holding down shift and arrowing to the right to select audio material. A sighted friend said something is being select4ed//highlighted, but SF is not letting me hear the selected mmaterials as before. Hope that doesn't sound to confusing. I will write the steps I take below so someone may understand my problem better. How things use to work. 1. Press the letter q. 2. Press the space bar followed by holding down the left shift key. 3. While holding down the left shift, I arrow right and can hear only the material I am selecting. How things work now. 1. Press the letter q. 2. Press the space bar followed by holding down the left shift key. 3. While holding down the left shift, I arrow right and can not hear the material I am selecting. 4. I have tried pressing control plus left arrow to move to the beginning of the file. 5. Then I have pressed q again. 6. Pressed space followed by the left shift plus right arrow with no text beingselecteed.7. If I press q again while the file is playing, it will stop playing. Then if I press the spacebar, I will hear a smal snip of what was selected. In short how can I make things behave again? I would be extremely greatful for any help. Re: Simple Sound Editing Program that's easy to use
Hi, Jim, This is easily done with MP3 Direct Cut. 1. Open the program. 2. type Ctrl-o to open an MP3 file to edit. 3. Shift-Tab to get into a standard Windows file browsing and open dialogue box. Locate the file you want and press enter. 4. Press the spacebar to toggle playback on and off. 5. Use the right and left arrows to move ahead or back in small increments; or use page-up and page-down for larger increments. 6. When you are at the starting point of the section to remove, stop playback and press the B key. 7. Resume playback until you reach the end point of the section to remove, stop playback and press the letter N. 8. Now you can finely adjust the start and end points in this way. Use the F1 and F2 keys to move the start point back or ahead in very small increments, like 1 32nd of a second. The F3 and F4 will do this for the end point. 9. Use the F5 and F6 keys to review the audio just prior and following the start point; likewise use F7 and F8 to review the audio just prior and following the end point. You can use the F9 key to listen to what the audio will sound like if the selected audio were deleted. 10. When ready, press the delete key to remove the selected audio. 11. Ctrl-Z will undo the last editing if need be. 12. Save the edited file with Ctrl-W and follow the prompts to confirm. That's it. MP3 Direct Cut is really a fast and easy program for minor editing like this. If you wish to clear this file and open another for editing just use Ctrl-F4. There is about fifteen to twenty seconds, in the middle of the song, that I need to cut out. So, what I've done is the following: I first began playing the song. When I got to the place I wanted to cut, I did a Shift L to mark the front of the spot to select. It finished and then I did a Shift R to end the selection. I then hit the Delete key, but nothing happened when I tried saving the file again. What am I doing wrong? I also just got the Direct Cut mp3 program, so if this can be done, I could use some directions. I've been trying to do this for a week now. Thanks. Thanks Ray. You are right. I am just using the standard edition. Looking at the features of TR it seems the editing abilities are restricted to the Pro Edition and aren't present in the standard edtion. So, could you be using the SE version? Does look as if SR does a lot these days and I'm interested as a friend is trying to use it. I used to hear folks criticise SR for messing around with soundcard driver settings and tending to mess up other sound apps. Is this true? Maybe someone can enlighten me as to what an SR installation does to your settings, if anything. Hope I might just have been of some help. Ray.
