Hello Iram, yes the IPlayer is accessible, however on the one on BBC
 itself,
you can not access the rewind and fast forward options. I instead use a
program called accessible BBC IPlayer which is obtainable from
 www.webbie.org.uk
It is part of the webbie suite of programs., Hope this helps.

Hi Iram,

As far as I can see, BBC Urdu is not available using the BBC iPlayer. The
Accessible iPlayer programs allow you to listen to the same content as that
available using the BBC iPlayer, so you won't be able to listen to BBC Urdu
using these programs either.

However, there is a BBC Urdu website:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/urdu/

I assume that the site is written in urdu, which I don't understand. However
there are several links to video and audio. These are played on a new page,
where the playback starts automatically, and the playback controls are buttons.

NBA, AL/NL Baseball; and NFL Broadcasts

2009-08-19 Thread JardataMailServices
Hello List!

I am sure everyone knows it, but you can get all of the NBA, NFL, and Major
League Baseball on XM Radio and Sirius Radio year round and all you need is
their subscriptions. Oh I forgot, you can also get NHL games. In the past,
but always during the playoffs, you can get both teams' local broadcast, along
with network broadcasts; however, normally you get the home team's broadcast.
You might want to try these out in place of NFL Pass, etc.

Mysterious, but minor, WinAmp problem.

2009-08-19 Thread Alan
Hello, everyone,
Before I get to my problem, let me introduce myself. My name is Alan Wheeler,
and I live in Lincoln, Nebraska.

I am running WinAmp v5.56 on a Windows Vista machine with JAWS 10. Fpr
whatever reason, when I do the ctrl-shift-t or alt-shift-t commands, the only
feedback I get is 0 minutes and 0 seconds remaining, or elapsed respectively.

Can anyone offer some advice or suggestions. FS tech support and I tried some
things to no avail, so I am beyond stumped.

What type of file are you attempting to play? WMA files will not play and
will result in this type of behavior in winamp. Try the keyboard commands

another version of jaws--if you have it on your computer.

At this point you're probably better off installing Winamp from scratch and
carefully following Jaws help files info to avoid any hassles. I often find
starting from scratch is better than spending countless hours trying to fix

FW: Shipment of BookSense Units Recalled

2009-08-19 Thread Keith Gillard
Hi, I thought I would post this just in case you have one of these and fell
through the cracks on the recall.
Stream Killer:? LOL!

A shipment of BookSense units, sold in the United States by GW Micro, has
been recalled to fix a defect with the unit. This recall only affects one
shipment of the unit, and users have been contacted and offered free
replacements, including shipping. I don't know much else other then The
problem appears to be temporary, and orders for the BookSense are still
being accepted.

Winamp Scripts Version 1.98 are now Available

2009-08-19 Thread Steve Pattison
Version 1.98 of the Winamp scripts for Window-Eyes are now available on
Script Central at www.gwmicro.com/sc. Here are the changes in this
version:

Removed the Polish translation as it is becoming very out of date. I
hope to have
it return in a future version (probably as a separate download).
Added more logic to the LoadKeys procedure to try and eliminate errors.
Added logic to remove unneeded INI sections from very old Winamp Script
versions.
Removed the RemoveOldSetFiles INI value and will default to this logic each time
the global script runs. This has also been removed from the Winamp Script
Preferences
dialog.
Removed the RepairCustomMessages logic as if you haven't upgraded by now I am
not
going to maintain that code branch for much older XML message tags.
Sped up the handling of Key Label Dictionaries. This included removing many of
the
key files from the setup package and now the keys are loaded and unloaded
dynamically as needed and we stick with one key dictionary file, that being
winamp.key.
The CheckKeyFiles procedure has been removed.
The CheckXMLIntegrity logic has been removed.
Sped up the SpeakMessage and GetMessage functions and also added error logic to
exit
during shut down events.

cheating, eh?

Heck no. If it works, why is it cheating to use what works?

Can someone send me a link to a good accessible burning program
that will help me?

I don't have the link, but Google for CD Burn XP. Also, Windows
Media Player 11 will do it for you, and you probably already have
that.

Re: musical keyboard to laptop?

hi guys, I'm trying to connect my Yamaha musical keyboard to my laptop,
using an audio cable from the headphone jack on the keyboard to the Acer
aspire5920 laptop system. What i cannot figure out, is where to connect the
audio cable on the Acer laptop.

If the laptop has a microphone/line-in jack, that's the one. You will
then have to select which input mode--mic or line-in--is active from
the laptop control panel.

And also which type of audio cable would be needed for this task?.

Laptops usually use eighth-inch stereo (three-pin) connectors.
Keyboard use either eighth- or quarter-inch stereo plugs.
