Hello sunshine!
Well, first of all, how do you want them, do you want them powered with AC
or is it battery driven speakers you want? I have a pare of powered
speakers, which are quite small, but they have a great sound just for the
sake of MP3 listening and so on, I can look up the brand for you, but they
have power from the wall, but they're portable.
I'll let you know about the brand when I have a sighted person who can look
it up for me.

Hi Sunshine,

We have the Digipower Mini Stereo Speakers for $18.99 on our site at:
http://www.talkingmp3players.com/accessories.html

These speakers use 1 double-A battery, and the headphone jack sticks
out of the side of the speakers, so you can just plug it into your MP3
player, portable radio, laptop/netbook, or any portable audio device
with a 3.5 mm headphone jack. There are no wires to mess about with.
It's a cylindrical design with the stereo speakers on either end.

The sound is amplified so that one doesn't have to listen with
headphones on. One is free to roam about the room while listening or
share your audio with someone else. They're very portable as they fit
in your pocket.

Take a look at the website for more information.

Two Sound Card Issues

2010-03-28 Thread Samuel Wilkins
Hello, I have just installed a Sound Blaster Audigy 2ZS in my new computer
running

Windows 7. However, I have two issues. First, when the sound comes through
my speakers,

the sound goes through

one speaker a few milliseconds before the other, making a kind of robotic
effect.

Why is this happening? The second issue is that when I try to use the you
Hear

Option, in the sounds dialog in the control panel, it says that what you
hear is

Currently unavailable and when I try to use it in Goldwave, nothing happens.
why is this?

Re: portable amplified speaker system for mp3 players

2010-03-28 Thread Laz Mesa
Hi John,

If you're looking for tiny plug-in speakers with audiophile qualities,
I'm afraid you'll probably have to spend megabucks if you can even
find such an animal. You won't find much bass in most tiny plug-in
speakers. I compared these to another plug-in speaker selling for
nearly twice as much and found these to be better in the bass
department and in the stereo separation department, but they're still
tiny plug-in speakers and will sound tinny when compared to a
higher-quality and bigger set of speakers.

I personally use these for when I wish to listen to an audiobook
without having the headphones on and while I'm doing something else in
the room. You could use them for listening to music, but don't expect
it to sound like a stereo system.

Hope that answers your question.

Broadcasting with a M-audio delta1010lt without mixer

2010-03-28 Thread Mario

Hi list,

I have a home studio where I record voice tracks for broadcasts that the
automation system of the radio where I work mixes with the music.

Now I've to do a live show and I need to know if it is possible to broadcast
without a mixer.

My actual configuration is: m-audio delta1010LT with a preamp connected.
With this configuration actually I can't slow down the volume of the
microphone individually. It is possible via software to slow down the volume
without a mixer, but only with my sound card? I don't want a mixer because I
prefer a direct connetction between the soundcard and the processor,
especially for recording advertisings.

Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english, I hope that I've have well
explained my question.

A presto,

For the first issue: Creative cards can have effects. Go to the Creative

Subject: Two Sound Card Issues

Hello, I have just installed a Sound Blaster Audigy 2ZS in my new
computer

running

Windows 7. However, I have two issues. First, when the sound comes
through

my speakers,

the sound goes through

one speaker a few milliseconds before the other, making a kind of robotic
effect.

Why is this happening? The second issue is that when I try to use the you
Hear

Option, in the sounds dialog in the control panel, it says that what you
hear is

Currently unavailable and when I try to use it in Goldwave, nothing
happens.
why is this?

I would suggest the Gigaware speakers sold by radio shack.

RE: Two Sound Card Issues

2010-03-28 Thread Frank Ventura
One other thing to check is that you have the proper speaker setup set
in the configuration of the sound card, for example stereo speakers,
5.1, 7.1, etc.

Don't know exactly how your card connects but both speakers probably
should
be connected to one of the eighth inch sockets. I wouldn't know which
is
front or rear as I have a different Creative card.

There are no effects on. How can I tell if the speakers are connected
to a
 front or rear output?

For the first issue: Creative cards can have effects. Go to the
Creative
Audio Console and move to the Eax tab. Make sure no effects are on.
 There
may be a set of radio buttons for different sets of effects. change
radio
buttons then tab through the dialog and make sure nothing is on for
each
 radio button.

Another possibility is that you have one speaker connected to a front
 output

and the other speaker to a rear output.
