The U.3 application needs to be removed for the drive to work. Although I couldn't recall its name when I wrote before, I had it on my first thumb drive. Help For A Friend: Ripping With Windows Media
Hello list: A friend of mine has been trying to rip CDs, using Windows Media; problem is..it isn't titling the tracks! I find this interesting as (in my case)..it did it for me right out of the box; I didn't have to do anything! She's using Jaws 6 (an older version..I know)..her version of Windows Media is Windows Media 11. So what does she need to do to make Windows Media put titles on the tracks? Your help would be greatly appreciated; I'll forward responses to her as she is not currently on this list. Using Video TV Tuner cards
Hi! I've been using a Leadtek HDTR2000 card here for over 2 years, I've been happy with results from the digital TV tuner over all howver some recent changes I made here have made the performance of the device absolutely superb, no doubt about it. The changes were simple and on the whole worth every penny I paid so what did I do? I bought and relaid cable from the tuner to my TV aerial, made in incredible difference and believe me! when you're recording or watching TV you want the best quality you can get in cable given that you're probably using computers in your house which do interfere with digital TV reception if poor quality cable is used. When using digital TV, I discovered that the cable used is of a different grade to that used with the old analogue systems we had, one could go all the way and install a completely new aerial system optimised for Digital TV? Well that will come next year. Seasons greetings to you all. To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: pc-audio-unsubscr...@pc-audio.org

Looking for a CD utility
My Windows 7 64-bit machine came with a copy of Nero 9 which is not at all accessible as far as I can determine. So I asked about cd burning programs and installed Express Burn which was highly recommended. Although I am quite happy with Express Burn, the program lacks one feature of earlier versions of Nero which I really like. Specifically, the ability to examine a CD and determine whether it is a cd or cdrw, or possibly a DVD or DVDRW. So is there a utility out there which will run on a Windows 7 64-bit machine which will perform this function? If so, what is it and where can it be found? Thanks. When I toggle the mic off again I hear my vocals for about half a second before it goes quiet again. I know this is quite a wide-ranging question, but can anybody please advise on which setting might be wrong? Re: Question about mixing in Goldwave
control m also starts the mix control. if the file you are mixing is too loud or too soft you can adjust it while you preview. - Original Message - From: Walter w...@blueyonder.co.uk To: 'PC Audio Discussion List' pc-audio@pc-audio.org Sent: Saturday, December 18, 2010 1:18 PM Subject: RE: Question about mixing in Goldwave Yes you can. 1. Record your verbal greeting. 2. Move it from your Olympus to your PC (you don't have to do this so long as you keep your Olympus connected to the PC throughout the process). 3. Launch Gold Wave and open the music file you wish to use. 4. Now with Gold Wave open the greeting you recorded. 5. While in this file do a control+A to select all the file then control+C to copy to the clipboard. 6. Press control+tab to take you to the music file you already opened. 7. Press ALT and arrow right to edit and then go down until you come to Mix and press enter. 8. You will now land on the part where you decide at what point you want the mix to start. It starts with hours then minutes then seconds and finally fractions of a second. 9. Once you have decided where you want the mix to begin press the tab key once and then the space bar to hear a preview. 10. If you are happy with the preview, tab to OK and press the space bar then save your file and that's it done.
