RE: Looking for a good music site.
Hi. There are a couple of sites I use regularly. You must pay up front though and any purchase is deducted from your running balance. www.mp3fiesta.com is one of the three main sites I use. It has a good catalogue but the site is a little more cluttered than it used to be but on the other hand, downloading tracks has become easier. The other site is www.mp3va.com. This site is very good also and if you download an album, you can do so in one zip archive, or you can download track by track if you prefer. They are quite economical as depending on the album, some are around $2 or $3. On mp3Va some albums are as lo as 80 cents but more typically they range from $1.50 to $2.50. The bit rates are as high as 320kbs. If you want free music downloads then www.mp3skull is a good site. All three of these sites are accessible. If you want more help, contact me off list. From looking at these sites I know that they host current music tracks and charts, do any of these sites have different categories such as music from the 70s and 80s etc. Itunes is very nice! but I'm always interested in alternatives. Hi. I'm a user of cassettes and also own an old Cobalt TimeStat. I'm using a Soni radi/cassette/cd machine manufactured last year. RE: Looking for a good music site.
Hi. To my knowledge they don't have a specific category for 1970's and 1980's etc. However they do do a lot of stuff from those eras. In fact, the bulk of the stuff I've downloaded from them have been from the 50's, 60's 70's. If you do a search for particular artists you should find them. Also, in the case of mp3fiesta, put retro in the search box and you will come up with a load of older stuff, particularly compilations. Re: Soni Cassette Recorder And Cobalt TimeStat
Yeah I do but really I don't think you're going about things the right way. Firstly, most of those portable CD Radio Cassette machines were never intended for what you want to do with them even though you're using a time stat. You set the machine to record by pressing the record button I assume is that correct? Having done that you set the time stat to turn the machine on right? Well most importantly, having the machine idle in this way for much of the time can damage the pinch roller the little rubber wheel which graps the cassette tape -. Now again this is all assumption because every machine is different but this is generally the rule, you may wish to get back to me privately so perhaps we can discuss this further. Re: CC Radios
All I've tried are quite easy to use, the most accessible without a doubt is the CC EP radio given its analogue tuning system but it does have some problems which are to be expected given the price of the radio, you get what you pay for. Tehse problems are to do with the radios single conversion receiving circuitry and nothing whatever to do with accessibility, still a good radio for the price nevertheless. I've always been fond of emusic myself until they banned all non-US citizens! Wish there was a way to still purchase from them somehow. This before they banned me I had a major hard disk crash which resulted in me losing much of my music. Much of this music was purchased from emusic and unfortunately I was not able to download much of what I lost. Hi. MP3panda is part of the MP3fiesta and MP3eagle stable. They are based in the Ukraine. I have used MP3fiesta for a number of years without trouble. Don't think much of their support department though. On one occasion I had a faulty file and let them know, they gave me a refund. I didn't want a refund but I wanted them to say they would sort out the problem with the file so I could download a good copy, don't think I ever did and now have forgotten what the file was. Apart from that, I've had no trouble. Hi, it works with windoweyes. What I figured out is, that you have to use the select to get through the search boxes. Try the shift down arow and then tab to the edit box, and then enter, so that the browser is off. Then hit theclick on the go button. One thing I have noticed is that some things don't stay on the catalog for ever. - Original Message - From: kim kelly kim...@cableone.net To: PC Audio Discussion List pc-audio@pc-audio.org Sent: Monday, May 16, 2011 7:44 PM Subject: Re: Looking for a good music site. Hey; that's one I hadn't thought of! May be worth a try as _someone_ needs to get their attention! Slightly off-topic, but lots of folks who used to listen to Willie's Place are quite upset because they supposedly have combined that channel with The Roadhouse channel; all they really did was to just put Willie's name on the Roadhouse channel; they're using the Roadhouse library! I love the country classics, but wouldn't mind hearing a little of what they played over at the old Willie's Place! - Original Message - From: Brian patric...@nc.rr.com To: PC Audio Discussion List pc-audio@pc-audio.org Sent: Monday, May 16, 2011 10:21 PM Subject: Re: Regarding Sirius/xm. I wonder what would happen if Main Menu contacted them for an on-air interview and let them know that it would be talked about whether they came on or not. That would be interesting. Re: Regarding Sirius/xm.
I like Sirius XM, but, for those of who are blind, it is hard to know what the songs are because we can't read the screens on the radios and now the online site is useless. What a shame. Anyone may write me off list if they would like.
