There is a popup asking if you want to run windows media player shim. Maybe
you don't get the notification.

Hi folks!

Normally this problem wouldn't effect me as my Squeezebox Boom and Ootunes
on my IOS devices - iPhone and iPad - play every radio stream I put past
them but its seems a different matter with my Windows and Mac computers.

I'm trying to listen to the Radio 2UE audio stream at
http://www.2ue.com.au, I find the Listen now link and click on it, a
player window pops up and that's about as far as i get, anyone got any
suggestions?

This happens on every computer I've tried it on and I've tried it on 5, 3
Windows machines and 2 Macs.

Will be interested to hear about your friend's solution.

BTW: I forgot to say the Internet Explorer notification popup. It is set
to make a sound Not sure where that is set. . Press alt+n to activate the
bar then context key for a menu of choices.

Well that didn't work but thanks to the help of an audio engineer I've
found a far more usable solution, I'll be detailing this in a separate
message.

This way you can bypass all those annoying pop-up windows, the streams
just work on whatever system you want to use.

Hi Dane,

I pressed enter on the link which reads
On Now - Listen Live
and after the player window popped up, it started playing. Perhaps there
is a plugin or something you need to install. Did it

prompt you to install anything?

Thanks,
Barry Chapman
