I have put my collection of music on CD’s onto my PC now and given the CD’s

Jazz recordings I purchased from Time-Life I cannot do this with as they
are encrypted. Does anyone know how I can overcome this. I don’t want to
pass on the copies so it will not infringe the copyright law just that it’s
easier to have them on my PC to play.

I am no sound ingineer or audio professional so I only set it to the volume

Hi Dane are you going to purchase one of these radios?
Again to see if it is as good as that review says it is?
Or since you had all the problems with the cc radio 2 are you just going
to pass on purchasing this radio and stick with that ones you have
currently.
I have been looking in to the San jean prd5 radio JR music and computer
hear in the united states has this radio for about 66.00 that is what
there web site says anyway.
But they say this radio is really good on A.m and F.m and a lot of
people are happy with it.
So maybe you may want to give that radio A look as well.
Well keep us posted if you do in-fact purchase the new version of the CC
radio 2.
And if you do how well you like it.

I bought the blue microphone with its stand about 5 years ago but returned
it. I didn't like it since it didn't seem to have enough gain and to much
proximity effect. The only control on the mic was a small switch, but all
that did was pad down the gain even more. Have they changed the blue yetti
since then? I'd be interested in hearing an audio sample of voice from
different distances from the mic if you can send one. Please tell me the
sound card or mother board audio your using. The sound card I used to test
the Yetti was a sound blaster X-FI stream music. Thanks. Joe.

2013-09-19 Thread Dane Trethowan
I don't have any immediate plans to purchase the CC II Enhanced, maybe next
year.

All I can say about the PRD5 at the price you quoted is this, its a "Must Have"
and if you have the money then you'll be spending it most wisely if you want
and need a radio which can handle long distance AM reception, I've had a PRD5
for quite some time and I don't regret the purchase whatever, the radio is
probably one of the best kept secrets when it comes to sensitive AM reception,
good selectivity and so on.

Re: Review: C.Crane CC Radio-2E Enhanced | radiojayallen

2013-09-19 Thread Dane Trethowan
Which one, the CC II Enhanced or the Sangean PRD5?

There's one problem with the CC II Enhanced which is putting me off buying one
for the moment, its not a critical issue rather a slight annoyance.

With the CC II if you used the tuning knob you could instantly hear what you
tuned to, with the Enhanced model the tuning mutes out for a second when you
turn the knob, CCrane are aware of the problem and are trying to enable a
"Workaround", problem is this time that the muting is built into the controller
chip used for the radio.

Again, hardly what one would call a critical fault and it probably wouldn't
worry anyone who used the display to tune the radio.

Audio sample of blue microphone

2013-09-19 Thread Joe
I bought the blue microphone with its stand about 5 years ago but returned it.
I didn't like it since it didn't seem to have enough gain and to much proximity
effect. The only control on the mic was a small switch, but all that did was
pad down the gain even more. Have they changed the blue yetti since then? I'd
be interested in hearing an audio sample of voice from different distances from
the mic if you can send one. Please tell me the sound card or mother board
audio your using. The sound card I used to test the Yetti was a sound blaster
X-FI stream music. Thanks. Joe.

Which one, the CC II Enhanced or the Sangean PRD5?

There's one problem with the CC II Enhanced which is putting me off buying
one for the moment, its not a critical issue rather a slight annoyance.

With the CC II if you used the tuning knob you could instantly hear what you
tuned to, with the Enhanced model the tuning mutes out for a second when you
turn the knob, CCrane are aware of the problem and are trying to enable a
"Workaround", problem is this time that the muting is built into the
controller chip used for the radio.

Again, hardly what one would call a critical fault and it probably wouldn't
worry anyone who used the display to tune the radio.

Stephen, you simply go to the visuals tab and from there you use the
available combo boxes to select blank where possible. That's the Visual tab
in the control properties, F11.

I have had visuals set to blank more or less since using GW back in the
days

of V4.26 on my W98SE system, it makes the program much faster and reactive
because not having sight the visuals are of no use to me anyway so why
make

unnecessary work for the system by using them if the program works without

Protected CD's

2013-09-19 Thread roger.south
I have put my collection of music on CD’s onto my PC now and given the CD’s to
a local charity shop for what they can get for them. I have a set of Jazz
recordings I purchased from Time-Life I cannot do this with as they are
encrypted. Does anyone know how I can overcome this. I don’t want to pass on
the copies so it will not infringe the copyright law just that it’s easier to
have them on my PC to play.

Many thanks Roger
