Re: MP4 with jaws?
Hi Gary - Often wonder what .og files were - does this mean I could save loads of space by having .og instead of MP3 files? and if so, how do I create them? Burning data disks
Hi all - I can use Winamp and Windows Media Player 9 to burn MP3s in to .cda audio CDs, but I'd also like to burn a bunch of MP3s as data files, on to a CD, to play them in my PTR1. Re: Will XP burn an MP3 to disk?
Graham - thanks for the suggestion, I did as you said, but when doing CTRL V to paste the MP3 to the CD-r, I got the message: Unable to copy file or folder, the requested resource is in use. I also looked on the file menu, but don't seem to have Write these files to CD. I'm using XP home, if that makes a difference. Would really appreciate any more help you can give, I'm away for a week soon, and want to take some music and books with me. Andy, try this in Windows Xp for burning MP3 to a CD. Highlight the files you want to copy. Copy them to the clipboard with CTRL-C. Put a blank CD in your drive. Navigate to your drive with the blank CD in it. When there, press CTRL-V to paste the MP3 files into the drive. Screen reader should tell you that the files are there, but you are not finished yet. Now press ALT-F and arrow down to Write these files to CD, or type T to get there quicker. Press ENTER and the CD writing wizard will appear. Follow the prompts, choosing to write a data disk, since you have MP3 files. That has always worked for me in XP. ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- This email has been verified as Virus free Virus Protection and more available at http://www.plus.net ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Re: converting audio cd to mp3 format.
And on this topic? Does the latest version of Winamp [I've got 5.2, so I mean 5.3] allow for burning CDs, or is that only the bought version? Andy - Original Message - From: Lisa Hall [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: PC audio discussion list. [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Saturday, May 01, 2004 10:30 PM Subject: converting audio cd to mp3 format. Hi everyone, I am beginning to learn about converting audio cd to mp3 format. I have the following players: Windows Media Player version 9, Real One Player version 2, Winamp version 5, and Easy CD Creator version 6. I am using Windows Xp Home with Jaws for Windows version 5. Can someone give me a step by step instruction as to how to do it properly. Will I have to enter each individual track, album, as well as artist and copyright information? I noticed that Winamp and Real One Player gives me these type of information. I am not certain of Windows Media Player. I look forward to everyone's responses. Will XP burn an MP3 to disk?
Hi all - Don't think I can do this, but would like clarification. Usual thing, I want to burn an MP3 from my HD on to a CDR. Will XP allow me to do this, I see it has a copy option in the file menu for my DVD/CDRW drive, but am wondering if that's for copying standard audio disks. I have Pinaccle DVD/CD creation software on this system, but can't get it to burn for some reason, it just sits there, so was wondering if XP would do the job?
