RE: how to add book mark in winnamp?

2011-08-01 Thread Matthew C
You can set a time bookmark in win amp. As the list of commands say when you
hit insert h for the jaws key commands it is m to mark the time., alt shift
m to go through the list of times and control shift m to get rid of them.

iqual, the bookmark will only mark the file in the list, not a time
within it. I know that the window-eyes scripts allow for a time
bookmark, not sure if there is a jfw equivalent. In any case, you add a
bookmark with alt control b

looking for a good set of speakers for a netbook

2011-07-26 Thread Matthew C
Hello all. I am curious if anyone knows an inexpensive set of speakers I can
get for a netbook. They would have to be fairly portable. I have a Toshiba
netbook and the speakers are very weak. The sound card is great with
headphones though. I want to also purchase this from Amazon if I can find
something. Thanks for any help. Sincerely, Matt

RE: Adjusting the volume

2011-07-07 Thread Matthew C
It is fairly easy to use. Yu can use z to go back. C to pause. V to stop. B
to go forward. I Uusually just keep the main window and the playlist window
open. There are shortcut keys for opening and closing windows in it but you
can also alt and down arrow to the nelsoft winamp sub menu and right arrow
into it. Make sure jus the main window and playlist window are checked. You
can open tracks in the playlist window. Control n wipes it clean. Also
remember if your in the main window by accident it will remove all the other
tracks and just have that one. You can go between windows with control tab.
Also r is for repeat and s is for shuffle. Control shift t gives the time
remaining and control shift r randomizes the whole playlist. This should be
good enough to get you started. Also make sure it is in classic skin or jaws
won't read it right. This can be changed in preferences with control p and
then down to skins tab and make sure it is on classic then hit enter. Any
other questions feel free to email me off list at mcare...@att.net.

Hi Adrian. It depends on what version of Windows you have
and what media
player you use. In XP. You can't control the jaws voice
separately, under
normal circumstances. But you can turn down your media
player volume.

RE: A winamp setting

It should hold it anyway. What you can do is either hit control n from the
playlist window to clear it or just open something from the main win amp
windows and it will be the only thing in the playlist window everything else
will be wiped.

In the process of resolving my low Winamp volume issue, I apparently
messed up a different setting, and obviously I don't know which one.

Although Winamp 5.61 lite is playing just fine, each stream or file
which Winamp plays is retained as if it were in a playlist. So one can
use the B or Z keys to move forward or backward among the items which
one has played, and pressing X will cause the highlighted item to play.

What I want is that no file or stream info will be retained when I close
Winamp. What must I do to accomplish this?

Thanks.

RE: Starting a second instance of Winamp

2011-05-28 Thread Matthew C
You can either go to win amp on the start menu or on the desktop and hit
applications and enter on properties. Tab into the shortcut tab and hit the
buttons you want to use to open it. Alt control and whatever else you want
to use that isn't being currently used because it will hijack it. When done
it should say it there. Just enter on ok and it should work.

The key combination to start a second instance of Winamp from within the

alt+ctrl+n from within Winamp, rather than getting a second

Version 3.5 of the Winamp Scripts for Window-Eyes are now available.
This is a major update and the changes are listed below:

 through 0
will select banks 1 through 10 and Control-1 through Control-0 will select

 banks
11 through 20. It is now possible to define up to 400 presets.
The G key has been added to allow you to enter a preset number to play.
 The range
 is from 1 to 400.
The Period and Comma hotkeys have been added. Press Period to jump to the
 next available
preset. Press Comma to jump to the prior preset that is available.
Press the slash key to hear the current preset number.
The Add Bookmark Preset functionality now accomidates the 400 possible

Presets can be retrieved without needing a Winamp bookmark file.
Defining a preset is now disabled during the defining of the Preset Bank

The Winamp Script Messages dialog has been corrected for older message
