Hi Folks, Considering all of the attention pertaining to awareness and accessibility, indeed, there should have been descriptive video, an (audio track) inserted. Re: need helping with humming on blue yeti pro.
Hi Angel and Everyone, I was waiting to see if someone would bring this up. Yes, you will still get a hum because the boom arm is attached to the desk. And, yes, I am hoping, if you want to use a boom, that there is one specifically for the Blue Yeti. It is a Heavy and Expensive Mic, and I, myself, would not use a boom. I would sit it, as has been previously suggested, on a piece of foam. Now, if you do not have foam, you might be able to use a soft covered Braille book instead. I also would not detach the Yeti from the desk stand. The desk stand is quite sturdy, and meant to hold this Expensive Professional Mic. I hope that this helps. Speaking of Yeti Pro, I've been meaning to get one for ages so did a Google search to see where they're available in Australia and - believe it or not - they're available right from the Apple Store which means express free shipping etc so an order has been placed . Whatever mic you are using you will get this problem if its sitting directly above the computer. I've moved my Rode mic over to another purch to the side of the desk, and though its not very convenient it cuts down the hum and vibration quite a bit. I speak pretty close to the mic without encouraging pops. Sometimes I use a bit of base roll-off in the audio editor. One more thing which can help is a mic shock mount, which should isolate the mic from stand-borne noise. Hope some of that helps. Hi, I guess I have been fortunate with this particular mouse pad. The microphone is heavy, so care needs to be taken that it is stable. Movement even makes noise. It is an Extremely Excellent Mic, but Very Sensitive. Hi All, My Husband, Bob, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] worked in broadcasting for quite some time and has followed the progress on the internet as well. He knows of www.stationplaylist.com.
