2004-12-20 Thread Quantum Technology Support
Hi

Does anyone have experience using JAWS with music composition programs like
Sibelius? Are there any such programs that can be used by Blind people?

Selecting and cutting audio in adobe audition

2004-09-08 Thread Quantum Technology Support
Hi all,

Any adobe audition experts out there that can help with this one?

When using Adobe Audition, I press F6 to bring up the selection dialog and
type in a selection point. If I press cut or copy, Jaws tells me there is no
text selected and pasting it somewhere else confirms that my selection
hasn't been copied to the clipboard. How ever if I press play, only the
selected portion is played. So how can I cut or copy or move the selected
portion of audio.

Thanks in advance,
Brett.

RE: limewire

2004-09-05 Thread Quantum Technology Support
It isn't because it is written in Java and doesn't use the swing classes
that Jaws can work with. Even if it was accessible I seem to remember
reading somewhere that it does contain spyware, so for that reason alone I
would avoid it.

Cheers,
Brett.

I was talking to a sighted friend of mine who uses limewire to download
music. I wonder if anyone on this list has tried this program, and if so,
how accessible was the program with jfw?
Thanks for any feedback.

RE: juke box type of question

2004-08-04 Thread Quantum Technology Support
If you use winamp, you can use the winamp library, just start typing the
name of the song you want and when you find it, tab to the add button and it
will be added to the playlist. I don't have the latest winamp yet, but I
have heard that with it you can now find the song you want and click a
button which will play it immediately after the current song. It does
interrupt the play list, but you can always start it off again when the song
is over.

Cheers,
Brett.

Hi Good one Steve, I think the way to do it would be to use the queue
in winamp feature. It's an option in the files menu within explorer.
I assume that when you mark a file for queue in winamp, it will play
it when it gets to it. Sad thing to be doing though Steve, You should
be on the sofa with a girl whose too drunk to realise how ugly you
are, well that's for me anyway.

I just had a brain storm and was wondering if such a program exists.
Setting
aside, having to have speech go to a separate location, etc, what I
want to
do is at a party, have people submit requests which I would type in,
providing I have the title. How can I compile a play list, already in
progress? In other words, songs will already be playing but I would
still
want to take requests and have them in a sequential order using some
kind of
program. Ok, enough of my brain storm. Does a program exist like this,
using
JAWS and XP? Thank you.
