So for these streams, what I would do is just record those through your sound card, and for others, try different streams. For me, the capture as mp3 has worked almost every time accept for once, when Replay AV gave me an error message about converting to mp3. Aparently there's a bit of an issue with converting some real audio streams to mp3. Hopefully the replay folks can work on making it more reliable. Anyways, just keep at it, and go into your settings and make sure that you don't have Replay AV set up so that it splits files on its own. if it loses the connection to the stream then obviously it's going to create another file when it picks up the stream, but if you leave all the choices in that section at the defaults, you should be fine. god, I hope this isn't true
Found this on http://www.kurthanson.com/archive/news/030706/index.asp the magazine is called RAIN, Radio And Internet Newsletter. God, I hope this isn't true. From Digital Music News: XM Satellite Radio routinely touts it commercial-free radio channels, giving it a major edge over terrestrial radio. Now, an xm satellite radio interesting situation involving Clear Channel could force commercials onto a number of XM stations. Most recently, the company pointed to an upcoming change as part of a 10-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. XM noted that 'commercial advertisements will resume on music programming currently provided to us by Clear Channel,' part of a 'dispute we had with Clear Channel relating clear channel to our respective rights and obligations' following a '1998 investment in us.' Clear Channel reportedly controls about four channels, a small percentage of the 160-station XM dial. But consumers could become confused by the development, especially if one of the Clear Channel-programmed stations happens to be a favorite. Whether that poisons the well is speculative, though certainly XM is unhappy about the programming change. Meanwhile, the development could be an attempt by Clear Channel to sabotage the commercial-free competitive advantage of XM, part of digital music news an intensifying battle between terrestrial and satellite companies. I've seen a number of promising possibilities, but I don't want to buy something that is inaccessible. Does anyone have any ideas? I don't need something that's of professional quality, but I need something that will be good for recording reading, which I then plan to transfer to my Bookport. RE: fm transmitters again
Russ did you leave it as is or did you turn the screw on the bottom to increase the range? Subject: Re: fm transmitters again Hi, I use the c crane digital fm transmeter. I liked it so well I bought a second one. It was seventy-nine dollars from c crane company, 800 522 8863. This little champ suites my needs entirely. I can receive the signal out in the driveway in my car. Don't worry, I don't drive it (grin), but the air conditioner comes in handy on a too hot day. Anyways, the stations never drift and you can tune it to any available fm frequency. Rusty At 04:46 AM 10/13/2004, Ted Phillips spake thusly:- Hi listers. I remember seeing this thread in the past, but did not read it because I had no interest in a transmitter at tha time. What FM transmitter is the best, and easiest to use? Any and all info welcome. RE: Recording interviews off the telephone.
what is BSW? -Original Message- From: Mike Mote [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, September 20, 2004 10:12 AM To: PC audio discussion list. Subject: Recording interviews off the telephone. Hi folks! I got the latest catalog from BSW the other day, and was wondering what type of phone interphace would work best. I need to record interviews at home on my PC, and then edit them using sound forge. I need one that is relatively inexpensive, but would still offer some quality results. Any suggestions!
