RE: MP3 versus WMA
Absolutely no question on one aspect of your question: the support for the MP3 format is *vastly* better than that for WMA. The entire Ipod line is a great example of a line of players that *does not* support WMA. I have music encoded in 320 bits MP3 and 192 WMA formats and to be honest the difference in quality is barely noticeable. I suppose after quality what matters most is the compatibility factor. Have you guys found there to be equal support for the two formats in hardware media players such as juke-boxes and mp3 players? Any other information, personal observation or opinion on the subject would be appreciated. Re: MP3 versus WMA
WMA files are supposed to be half the size of MP3's, but the quality of WMA files is supposed to be as good as MP3's! - Original Message - From: john G [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: pc-audio@pc-audio.org Sent: Sunday, December 25, 2005 1:40 AM Subject: MP3 versus WMA Hi folks, what is the consensus on the WMA format for music files?
