RE: Dampening Bass on New Speakers
For whatever reason, the bass control is graded out on the sound blaster card. So is the treble control on some of the cards. Hopefully, you have a bass control knob on the speaker itself. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Bruce Toews Sent: Monday, December 20, 2004 7:25 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Dampening Bass on New Speakers I just purchased a new set of speakers for my computer. The bass is rather stronger than what I'm used to. I have a Sound Blaster Live card. I know that in the old DOS days you had bass and treble options as well as volume and balance, but in the Windows volume control I just see volume and balance. Is there a way to adjust bass and treble as well? Re: Dampening Bass on New Speakers
pull down your options menu and see if advanced controls are checked in the pull down. Then tab until you see advanced settings. Some cards allow you to control the eq settings and some don't. ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Hi Bruce, I'm using a soundblaster live value card, and in the volume control, when tabbing thru the play control, there is an advanced button. In this dialogue, you can adjust the bass and treble. Could it be because I'm not actually using Creative's drivers? Where do I find Creative's drivers for the SB Live? The creative.com site is a pain in the butt to navigate. Re: Dampening Bass on New Speakers
Hi Bruce. On my computer's speaker, the right one, there's a tone control knob, but with another computer I had, I had three knobs, one for volume, and separate knobs for bass and treble. Check to see if your computers have a tone control knob on it. - Original Message - From: Bruce Toews [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, December 20, 2004 8:24 PM Subject: Dampening Bass on New Speakers I just purchased a new set of speakers for my computer.
