RE: DVD Audio Extractor
Thanks. Yeah pluss I've learned so much from it. I mean with the save each channel to an individual file thing. What that practally teaches you is what comes out of each speaker of a 5.1 surround sound system. If it could deal with it, it could show you what the 6th channel has for all the movies that now are 6.1. Or even 7.1 if it could deal with 8 channals. -Original Message- From: Pc-audio [mailto:pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org] On Behalf Of Aidan Sent: Saturday, September 12, 2015 12:04 PM To: PC Audio Discussion List Subject: Re: DVD Audio Extractor I guess its possible. Well, I cannot highly recommend the program listed in the subject enough! Here was my scenario. I wanted to watch a DVD, Toy Story 3, on my Windows 7 64 bit laptop. The DVD has audio description. Anyway, I tried playing it with Media Player Classic Home Cinema, a DVD and general media player that comes with the Combined Community Codec pack. Well I couldn't get as far as the menu could I! Plus, the menu system of the application completely disappeared! So next I tried VLC Media Player. This was slightly better in that I could get at least the first chapter of the DVD played. But when it moved onto the next chapter it repeated the first one! So finally, I tried to play it with DVD Audio Extractor. It worked a treat! The entire DVD played fine with absolutely no problems! So my recommendation for a fully accessible, easy to use DVD player, which also happens to extract audio, is DVD Audio Extractor, www.castudio.org. Unless there is another similar DVD player out there that is just as fully accessible and easy to use, I might consider purchasing the program! Re: dvd audio extractor
you can't rename a track as a hole. you can rename chapters but you have to rip it that way. there is a checkbox on the third screen whare you can edit medadata information. you just check the checkbox for that and write in what you wan't the file to show up as while your playing it and rename it after you rip it. its going to be named title1 title2 etc. - Original Message - From: "nick danger" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC Audio Discussion List" Sent: Wednesday, September 17, 2008 1:11 PM Subject: Re: dvd audio extractor > Houdy doc, > > Not to my knowledge. Re: dvd audio extractor
DVD's often have multiple video's on them. DVD Audio Extractor does a good job of guessing which one is the main video, but you might want to check that you're selecting the right video, i.e. usually the largest. doc wrote: > I think my copy has a flaw. Re: dvd audio extractor
I am using dvd audio extractor but though I have a vague rememberance of creating a single file, for some reason I haven't been able to find that checkbox. I have version 4.3. I just tried it with the "save each chapter as a separate file" unchecked and it only creates a file that is 500k in size. Which doesn't make any since because I have all the chapters checked on the first page. - Original Message - From: Christopher Chaltain To: PC Audio Discussion List Sent: Wednesday, September 10, 2008 1:58 AM Subject: Re: dvd audio extractor What application are you using? The application DVD Audio Extractor has several settings that will help with this. For example, you could break the movie up into chapters but then have it create a playlist of all of the chapters for you. You could also have it create one audio file for the whole movie instead of individual chapters. I tried to look for where the settings are, but since it's a wizard interface, and I'd need a DVD to get past the initial screen, I'd figured I'd wait to see if you needed this specific information or not first. doc wrote: > the program I currantly use will divide the disk into chapters which is great > for the tv series I get but it also does the same with the movies I get. Hi. You say it is a faster rip but are you saying that the comparison is with the same bit rate? The higher the quality the longer the rip. Hi, I have used Imtoo's DVD Audio Ripper for years, and find it quite accessible with Jaws. I don't know how well it may work with Window-Eyes, though, but in my opinion, it's faster then DVD Audio Extractor. ~Ann Walter Ramage wrote: > Hi Everyone. I have a brief query. Re: DVD audio extractor,an accessible one that is?
Ok, have you tried Handbreak? Its open source and not only can it extract audio from DVD'S, it can extract the video and compress it, you may want to do this to put your DVD'S say onto a hard drive or Ipod for example. Now I use the Mac version here obviously but when I used the Windows version I had no problem. On 15/08/2008, at 1:28 AM, Walter Ramage wrote: > Hi Everyone. I have a brief query. DVD audio extractor,an accessible one that is?
Hi Everyone. I have a brief query. I want to acquire an accessible DVD audio extractor to enable me to record music from the Satellite TV music stations and on to a DVD disc and then rip the audio to my PC hard drive as a WAVE file. I did a google search and the first result that came up was the link below. http://www.imtoo.com/dvd-audio-ripper.html. My question is, is this an accessible programme. If anyone has used this programme then I would appreciate your comments on it's ease of use, or otherwise. If anyone has any suggestions then they would be very welcome. dvd audio extractor
hI okay I have been ripping some DVD's with DVD audio extractor. Now is it better to rip to uncompressed wave p c m or if I did entire DVD like that would it take up a lot of room on my hard drive? Or should I use mp3 instead? Also how to I make it so what I ripped I can skip from track to track or chapter to chapter like you can on a cd or a DVD it you were watching it on your DVD player or playing a cd in your cd player? Also if I am ripping a DVD how do you make it so that the titles of what DVD you ripped show up so you know what you are going to listen to and all of that sort of thing. Thanks for all the help so far and I will look forward to anymore help that may come across the list for me on this. I am looking to get the best quality that I can get off of what I am ripping. the best way to extract dvd audio with dvd audio extractor
Hi okay I have a stereo DVD with comedians on it. What I would like to do is using DVD audio extractor is take the audio off of the DVD and then be able to burn it to a cd so I can play it in my regular cd player. But if I want to play it on my computer I would like it to go straight threw playing and let me use the b key in winamp to skip ahead a chapter or back a chapter if I would like to. So cna you rip audio with DVD audio extractor this way? And then be able to have it go straight threw on the burned cd also but still be able to skip from track to track like you can on a prerecorded comedy cd. And also what are the best settings to use when extracting audio off of DVD's with this program. I mean do you want to change it to 44,100 or just leave it as the default settings except for changing it to stereo or mono if needed? All assistance is welcome and thanks for any that will happen to come across the list for me. Re: the best settings to use when extracting audio off of a dvd with dvd audio extractor
There's a quality of the algorith setting. I'd set that to its highest level. Aside from that, the same rules of thumb apply as do to regular sound recording. If the dVD is a mono DVD, choose the mono setting or else you're simply wasting bandwidth by requesting stereo where no stereo is present. Ideally, in a mono recording, you would like to take only the left or right channel, but this is rarely an option with rippers of any kind. For my Get Smart collection, I chose MP3's of 96K, sticking with the 48KHz default. For a stereo DVD, I would use 192K MP3's (96 times 2). These are my personal preferences, opinions may vary. bruce -- Bruce Toews Skype ID: o.canada E-mail and MSN/Windows Messenger: [EMAIL PROTECTED] LiveJournal: http://brucetola.livejournal.com Radio Show and Podcast: http://www.totw.net Web Site (including info on my weekly commentaries): http://www.ogts.net Info on the Best TV Show of All Time: http://www.cornergas.com On Sat, 13 Jan 2007, Wollner wrote: > Hi I have DVD audio extractor up and running. Re: dvd audio extractor question
Hello, you probably downloaded a .torrent file, which would only have taken a second to download. You'll need a torrent client like www.UTorrent.com and will need to configure that. If you have actually downloaded the torrent, then you'll need to see what file extention it is, because it may need to be unzipped, or otherwise unpacked. If you've done that, and you have a folder with audio ts and video ts, then you need to give DVD Audio Extractor the .vob files inside the folders in order to get going with listening or extracting. I hope this info helps. Thanks a lot. Matthew Tired of HotMail? Try Runbox. 1 gig of storage for a reasonable price. major problem with DVD audio extractor
Hi all! I'm trying to play a DVD on my computer using DVD audio extractor, and whenever I select a stream, I get a message which reads, "cannot read the selected stream. Please try other formats." I've exhausted all of my options as far as streams are concerned. I can't possibly think of what the problem could be. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Re: power dvd and dvd audio extractor
hi Sharon, you have had a soft ware disc with your computer, they are back up discs. BestBuy might have them, or radio Shack. Re: power dvd and dvd audio extractor
Power DVD is actually pretty easy if you use your Applications key to access the menus. There are also many hot keys for the various functions if you care to commit them to memory. Just don't expect to hear the actual titles on the DVD since screen readers can't get this information. The best you can expect is Title 1, Title 2, etc. and the speaking of chapter numbers in the chapter submenu.
