Unfortunately, at the moment, the external harddrive I have the GoldWave
installer on is out of action. The drive went bye bye at right around the
time I started getting the error in GoldWave. And, yes, Big Finish fan and
have been since about 2005 or so. Smile.

Steve:

That's very weird; I've certainly never gotten an error message like
that before. The only thing I can suggest is to re-install the
programme, since it seems the problem is directly related to interaction
with the file system?

That's an interesting signature you've got there; big Finish fan, i see!

An interesting GoldWave error.

2012-08-16 Thread Steve Mann
recently I've been having an interesting issue with GoldWave. I can use the
file merger and other features that don't directly involve me opening a file
and doing anything with it, but when I actually have a file open and have made
changes to it and attempt to save it, GoldWave gives me the following message.
"GoldWave error. External Exception EFace." Not sure if I spelled that
correctly, but it's been doing this every time I make actual changes to a file.
Has anyone ever encountered this problem before?

scripts haven't been doing what they should be. Am I just doing something
really goofy/ please let me know if anyone has any feedback.

currently they (1.58), are on the www.blind-geek-zone.net

the Site is:

as per the message on the main page unless one of us take the domain and
do it on their own.

Why do you assume that one person equates to everyone? In your original
posting you don't mention what screen reader you're using or what OS
you're running. I'd suggest including this information when you're asking
for help trouble shooting problems in the future. That way you'll make it
easier when people go out of their way to help you and you'll be less
likely to get annoyed when these helpful people give you information that
doesn't apply to your situation.

Yes. I was supposed to test them over the weekend, but there was a problem
in the files sent me, so I won't be able to test until Tuesday.

Hi friend, I don't know about that, but it is not recommended to use
JAWS script version 1.57 with this update, because shortcuts which
activate menu items like change volume, max match and other keys
activate diferent item than they ment for.
Thank you.

Hi All,

I am using goldwave version 5.25 on my hp laptop. When I try to
update to version 5.5 and above I get an access violation error. I
had no trouble updating it on my desktop. Has this happened to anyone
else? If so, is there a fix for it? Thanks,

Hi,

Why does everyone assume that JFW is the screen reader of choice? I use a
real screen reader.
