Re: sound schemes again

2005-07-14 Thread Andy

Hi Steven.

Cannot help I'm afraid, but if you are using an xp computer you can Restore
it back to the point prior to your difficulty. Hope this helps. If you are
not sure how to achieve this, please let me know I'll take you through the
process.

Best wishes.
Andy from sunny Kilcreggan.

Stephen,
Is it possible that your volume control has been muted? Do you know how to
check for this? Sounds stupid I know, but stuff happens. That's all I can
come up with this early.

Re: sound schemes

2005-07-13 Thread simon.dowling

hi go to control panel and select sounds and audio devices.
tab until you here sound scheme and select windows default or what ever you
want from the list.

you may want to check the volume to see if it is muted also.
another possibility is you done something whilst in system configuration.
1. in the run box, type msconfig, go to the services page and enable windows
audio.

RE: sound schemes

2005-07-12 Thread Marty Rimpau
Hi, Caroline, total recorder is supposed to do this, as by default, the
turn off system events check box is checked in the system tab under
options by default. You want this off, because if you're recording
something you want to keep, you don't want the windows sounds mixed in
with the recording.

Re: sound schemes

2005-07-11 Thread Gailselfridge
In control panel, check your sounds and audio devices. In mine, I have to
control-tab once to get to sound schemes. That should come up and tell you what
sound scheme you're using. If it says Nosounds, there's your problem. If you
know what sound scheme you were using, find that in the list and press enter on
it. It has to be selected of course. If it goes back to Nosounds when you
start up again, you'll have to repeat this process and then you'll have to
return
to the sound schemes page and tab until you find the Apply button and hit
enter on that. I put it on Nosounds when I want to play music and only listen.
