 Hi Rose!

I use a generic head pset which has a microphone. May be you can ask some
people in the lists to suggest a best microphone for you to use.

Hello, Andre. Yes, I believe you might be able to use yahoo messenger with
your version of Jaws. I have Jaws 5.0 and am able to instant message with a
couple of people. It does take some getting used to but after awhile you
can do it. I got yahoo messenger this summer and I really like it. The
only thing I don't know how to do yet is the call setup.

Hi all

Is it possible to use yahoo messenger with JFW 6.2?

I have a friend with whom I correspond regularly. Her connection is so slow
that Skype does not seem to function properly. She seems to be able to use
yahoo messenger though.

However, I find that this messenger is not the easiest to use with speech.
E.g. the menu bars do not seem to work correctly in Jaws.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Andre

Hi rose!

Calling a computer using Yahoo Messenger is easy. Just press control + L,
to start the call. you will need a microphone to use this feature. you can
also use this feature if the 2nd party has the newest version of Yahoo
Messenger.

Hi, Roden. Which type of microphone is best to use for calling with yahoo
messenger? I have a headset but I can only find one place in the back of
the computer where you'd plug in a microphone. The only other place I can
use for the earphone part is the speaker where you'd normally put earphones.
