Re: [PD] multiblob tracking in Gem while objects keep their IDs

2013-06-10 Thread Antoine Villeret
hi,

it works on my machine (Ubuntu 64bit) with pd 0.44-extended-20130528 (Gem
93.3)
and I can also confirm it works with latest pd vanilla and Gem 0.93.3
and it doesn't with the latest Gem from Git but I don't know why yet...

  Hello Max,

I have the same results than Antoine.
  A screenshot is attached.
  Configuration :
  Ubuntu 13.04, Pd 0.44.3, Gem ver: 0.93.git 374f713.

I just tested it with another machine
 Windows Pd-ext 0.43 / Gem 0.92
 Windows Pd-ext 0.44 / Gem 0.93.3
 both work as expected.

I'm wondering if it really could be your unreleased Gem version. Could you
try a precompiled stock version instead?

Hey all, I've been having to delete preferences and reinstall a bunch of
times. I get crashes for including objects from some of the extended
libraries there. It can't be the way I'm installing: it's just drag and
 drop.

I've been looking around for some clues, but I am wondering if anyone figured
 anything out definitively.

 Thanks

 Brian

2013-06-10 Thread Max
Bonjour Antoine et merci beacuoup.
Thanks a lot for testing this. A change in behavior between Gem release and git
is probably not intended, so that's where I hope IOhannes can have a look into.

[PD] [rjdj] abstraction?

2013-06-10 Thread Dan Wilcox
Howdy,

Does anyone who worked on/with the original RjDj app know what the [rjdj]
abstraction does/did? I see it in playback.pd in the rjlib Github repo. Is it
just a wrapper for a send? Like:

[inlet]
|
[s rjdj]

That looks like something on your dpkg setup is messed up. You may
want to google for a resolution.

Best wishes,

hi ico,

i made a fresh install of Ubuntu 12.04
repeated all the steps described by you / at the l2ork site.
i used this command to save the output:
./tar_em_up.sh -B | tee l2ork-out.txt

according to this file (attached) there should be a deb.

in the terminal window however the text at the end is:

[...]
fakeroot dpkg-deb --build
/home/rolf/pd-l2ork/packages/linux_make/build/
/home/rolf/pd-l2ork/packages/linux_make/pd-l2ork-`arch`-20130610.deb

getopt: onbekende optie '--build'
fakeroot, create a fake root environment.
usage: fakeroot [-l|--lib fakerootlib] [-f|--faked fakedbin]
   [-i file] [-s file] [-u|--unknown-is-real]
   [-b|--fd-base fd] [-h|--help] [-v|--version]
   [--] [command]
make: *** [deb] Fout 1
move full installer...
mv: kan status van ‘*.deb’ niet opvragen: Bestand of map bestaat niet
done.
[...]

apparently the error messages are not included in the file.

there is no deb.

Do you have dpkg-deb program installed? What happens when you type dpkg-deb in
command line? Also, can you resend the attachment off-list as there was nothing
attached (AFAICT). Thanks!
