Deal of the day on a K5
Forwarded from former PDML-er Ryan Lee: Thought I'd give you a heads up- this is a really good deal from a fantastic site I have bought from before and can vouch for. They have a daily deal which changes every day at 12pm, and today's deal is a Pentax K5 for only $858, and they have free shipping on it as well. They also shipped via Fedex and it came in a couple of days. Thought to let you know, just in case you were thinking of updating your gear, or in case any of the PDML guys might be interested! http://www.dwidigitalcameras.com.au/dealoftheday/landingpage/index.asp John Coyle Brisbane, Australia -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.

There's a guy here who has been combining pre- and post- photos to show the ghosts of buildings that have been demolished recently. I recently purchased a book which shows historic photos of my city alongside modern views of the same locations. It's very interesting, especially to my Dad who remembers a lot of the old stuff. I bought it so I can compare it in 20 or 30 years to whatever the city looks like then. Thanks for the heads up John. That price is too good to ignore - about $300 less than the best reliable price I've seen. So - I ordered one. I had a few misgivings about DWI being a grey importer but a quick check on line finds that they are reliable (as Ryan indicated) and they also have a local agent (who I spoke to in person before placing the order) for warranty issues. The only downside - I'm having a couple of weeks away down the south coast from next Monday and I doubt it will arrive before I go. This week I managed to shoot her unawares from in from of an adjacent booth. I don't like the background clutter and may take the time to modify it by removing the green verticals. Anyway, here it is as shot, save for a bit of retouching and a moderate crop to eliminate some foreground clutter.. http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=15671867 -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions. -- Documenting Life in Rural Ontario. www.caughtinmotion.com http://brooksinthecountry.blogspot.com/ York Region, Ontario, Canada -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
