Re: PESO - Down In Indiana
I disagree. The barn is the focal point, the others add to the scene. For instance, Bruegel's paintings & Giles' cartoons mostly have things going on in the background (often naughty) which adds interest & compels the viewer to look a bit deeper. Mac external drive trouble
I have a Toshiba 4TB external drive in an OWC housing that has my Time Machine backup on it (1.8TB so far). When I sat down yesterday, it would not mount. Eventually it did, and I ran Disk Utility, which gave me this message: Invalid name for directory inode (id=5966587) (it should be dir_5966587 instead of temp5966587) Incorrect number of directory hard links The volume Huge Ext HD could not be verified completely. File system check exit code is 8. Updating boot support partitions for the volume as File system verify or repair failed. Operation failed… Is there a way to repair the drive without erasing it? I’d have to buy another drive to hold the data, and I have no other use for one. Can the drive be repaired at all, or is it toast? The last thing they wanted was the camera part of the company. That was why the QC went to hell on the K5. All they were interested in was squeezing as much profit out of the photographic equipment as they could. The ant is a regular wood ant worker (formica sp.) who strayed into the house and died on the living room floor. As insects often do, it had curled all its legs up underneath. So I had to soften it for a while in vinegar before attempting to arrange legs and antennae in a more lively pose. Then dry it out, remove debris and dust, and then place it on a piece of bark. Stacked in Zerene Stacker from 300 shots by 645Z with FA-150/2.8 and FA-75/2.8 as diopter (ca. 2X magnification). End result is cropped by about 50%. Re: PESO - Down In Indiana
This looks great on my computer, and it’s substantially sized. But it was small and didn’t play well on my phone. Don’t know why. Great shot. Love the fence going one way, and the truck moving off in another direction. And of course the barn is a classic, and it’s perfectly placed in frame. Well done! > On Jul 1, 2017, at 8:50 AM, Alan Cwrote: > > Striking. Re: PESO - Down In Indiana
With that "big sky," are you sure it wasn't Montana? The sky is, to me, the main feature of the image, but I think it is inclusion of the foreground fence that makes the shot special.
