Interesting statement that owner feedback has little (at best) effect on new
model develpoment. That will hit some other forums right in the ego feels.

Wheras I still have the primes of 28, 35 and 50 from the fim era I very
much like to have a ff 20 mm prime at an affordable price.
There is such a great gap in ff wide angle range compared to what is
available for the APS-C DA lenses.

I love articles that start out with a great pun:

They want more lenses that match the higher resolution of the K-1, so that’s
one objective which we would like to implement.

Re: PESO 2018 - 022, 023 - GDG

2018-04-06 Thread Godfrey DiGiorgi
Thanks BobW and Ken!

Yes, it's mostly carbon fiber. All up weight as you see it (minus the lock) is
about 26 lbs.

The tires are good … First time I've used these Duro Fleetwoods. They roll very
smoothly and quietly, and are reasonably light given the size. I've been
testing tire pressures: the range is 15 to 30 psi. 15-18 was too low; I'm at 23
now and they work very well. I'll probably just settle in at 25psi, same as the
other bike, and be done with it. (I bought a special AccuGauge for the 0-30 psi
range; standard gauges aren't accurate enough in the low range, and with these
size tires even 1 psi can make a difference.)

I like the film! Gotta catch the full production. I was at the bike shop today
and found a couple of jerseys that actually fit me—It's so damn rare! Even
after I've lost a ton of weight and reach my early post-college weight, I'm
still going to be a six foot, 220 lb, post-middle-age guy … All the cycling
gear seems to be targeted at wealthy 20-somethings with 28 inch waists.
Sheesh—I bought both on the spot. I have a set of shorts that might fit on the
way too.

The Fatboy Comp Carbon (FCC for short) is a kick: I love riding it, even if I
just twaddle along at 20-25 kph. It really feels great bending it into a
corner.

I was at the bike shop working on something for Sumo today. Its cushy Gel
Comfort seat (now 1500 miles old) is getting sagged, I think, but there's a
chance that the seat post is not holding the adjustment and angle consistently
any more. I like the seat on FCC, so I ordered one of those for it. But I also
bought a Thomson Elite seat post for it which has a different kind of seat
retaining system, like the one on FCC. Now that I have that installed and
adjusted correctly, I'll be able to determine for sure whether the problem is a
funky seat or a funky seat post: the latter has been eliminated. :-)
