and silly me I read it as two files also but that's because I can't see 
the difference between l and i on my subject line or the from/to area .  
too small.


 I feel about flies as some feel about spiders... so my response to

You're doing well. I've enjoyed looking at all your photos. The Finches 
are back-lit which makes a difference to the appearance but the focus 
looks fine to me. Plenty of detail visible on the sunflowers. That lens 
is a gem.


I've had so much drama the past 2 weeks, actual photography is on the 
back burner.


Covid. I hear the chaps in Europe & USA are getting their shots. Only 
150 000 done in SA so far, we'll be lucky to get ours this year. I think 
a third wave is inevitable. Running & Cycling is all virtual and team 
sports are being played in empty stadiums. At least the main rains are 
finished now (still hot, mid you) so i will now bee able to get my 
garden under control again. The weeds have been dreadful with all the 
rain - 830mm for the season so far (usually about 530mm). With a late 
season cyclone we could still get to 1000mm.

PESO: European Goldfinch

I've been itching to photograph some birds with the K5ii but they haven't been 
cooperating.  This morning we found a greenfinch making a meal of the seeds 
from our sunflowers so I grabbed a couple of quick shots.  I'm not happy with 
the background of these but I had no control over that.

The focus on the first one is a little bit off.  It doesn't help that I was in 
a hurry and probably should have set the ISO a bit higher so I could stop down 
further (they're both at f/6.7)
