I came back to the PDML as soon as I heard the news of the upcoming FF
Pentax...just to see if Cotty had eaten his hat yet :-D

Glad I'm not late to the show!

Scanning is a bit easier too since I can use IR dust and scratch

About 5 or 6 years ago I picked up an H1a for $35.00, mainly to get the
SMC Takumar 35mm f3.5 lens that was attached to it. The seller also
threw in and SMC T 55mm f1.8 and Super Takumar 55 f1.8. The lenses were
worth more than the camera at the time. It's a nice little camera, the
35mm lens is stellar, one of the 55mms looks great but took a hard knock
somewhere and doesn't focus to infinity, the other tested fine, but I've
got a lot of normal lenses it seems, and it never got used and really
isn't worth selling for the price I'd get for it.

That H3 sounds good value for money: I would check the shutter blinds for
pinholes, and for
detachment of the metal leading edge shields before buying. Also check the
sound of the shutter at
different speeds, it tends to run a bit slow after many years.

The concept of corporate successor says you're wrong. Besides, the

but I wish I was Cotty because it would be very easy to turn this into
a viral fundraiser that would PAY for most, if not all, of Cotty's
copy of the fullframe Pentax. All that needs to be done is to tell the
story (on a web page and YouTube video and link to a donation button
for those wishing to see Cotty eating a hat). This could easily go
"viral" in the Pentax community, if not beyond. It would only take
$3000 people contributing $1 to raise more than enough for the body. I
can see a line of baseball caps and t-shirts growing from this
potentially, as well.

I also have some ideas for the easy consumption of said hat.

George,
I hate to disagree with a fellow Nebraskan, but if we are going to
take that position then we should have changed the name of the PDML.
Pentax has only been a "brand" for a very long time and Ricoh is only
the most recent overlord (though I might suggest they are being a most
benevolent one).

Well - This is probably nit-picking, but I would say Cotty's
prediction was correct.

Pentax isn't making a full-frame camera. They never did and they no
longer exist, so they never will.

Ricoh is making a full frame camera with Pentax brand name stamped on it.

Interesting. Everything marked in "red" is based on "hearsay" & rumors,
but I notice it won't have a built in flash and it will finally get a
