Re: Impending road trip
I remember visiting my Mom a month or two before she passed away. By then she had “graduated” to the “other reality” portion of the assisted living center. The staff asked me for help, Mom had been wandering the halls, stealing the TV remote controls from others’ rooms, and the staff wanted me to gently retrieve them… Do what you can, remember the good times, and every day bless your sister for what she is taking on. As far as your road trip goes, we will be at home in East Central Michigan through the summer and you are welcome to stop by. But I know that is not exactly on a logical pathway from Texas to Oregon. stan > On Apr 26, 2019, at 3:01 PM, Larry Colen wrote: > > I am about to head on a bit of a road trip. Impending road trip
I am about to head on a bit of a road trip. My Mom has gotten to the point where we need to move her into an assisted living place near my sister (there's no way we can afford one near me). She's in great shape physically, but lives in a different reality than the rest of us, so can't be left unsupervised. I'm driving today to the Central Oregon Coast. I'll rent an RV and with help will drive pretty close to straight through to North Central Texas. We'll stay there for a day or two, and the current plan is to drive, perhaps not as frenetically, back to Oregon. There is a slight chance that we'll go back to Oregon by way of Santa Cruz. If anybody might be on the path, let me know where you are and when you are likely to be available, stopping by to say hi might be a nice break from the driving. -- Larry Colen l...@red4est.com http://red4est.com/lrc https://www.flickr.com/photos/ellarsee/collections/72157612824732477/ -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
impending road trip
Something just came up, I'm likely to be making a roadtrip from Santa Cruz to Austin and (north of) Dallas. Don't know whether I'd go I-10 or I-40, or hit both of them. Is there anybody on the way that might want to say hi as I drive through your neighborhood? -- The first step is learning to take great photos, the second step is learning to throw away ones that are merely good.
