I can see people with small hands using the medium, only the large works for me, goodness knows who will use the small. For now, I'll buy a spare battery rather than the battery grip. Re: KP Update
I think he's talking about the battery grip, seems about the right price. The grip for the K-5/7 still sells for a bit more than the grip for a K-3 which was a bargain when it was first introduced. Despite comments, it does what I wanted it to do, but I might have preferred it cooked up as a K3 III. It is curious that I have got used to a DSLR being a certain size and yet still use an LX or K2 DMD without issue. The only grip I'm familiar with in recent times is for the K1. I have grips for both of my OM-Ds, which are quite small cameras - they're just 'dumb' grips (no batteries) but they improve the ergonomics immensely. On the other hand, after using grips on both the K200D & K-5 for a while, I took them off. The cameras just seem more comfortable without them and I don't really need the extra battery capacity. That would depend on what you're intending to tether, and maybe your definition of the word. Pentax Medical is still part of Hoya, so I guess they can use the same name for a totally different product. It's only an update if there's actual information not speculation, and google translate is getting better but it's still awful.
