I'm surprised, Texans seem to usually driver Suburbans, or Pickups, if 
they're into such things. I've only seen Hummers on the East and West 
Coasts, and H(1) models mostly on the West...

They're not so agile once you attempt to install armor.

The suspension isn't sturdy enough to support the weight of light armor
inadequate even for small arms fire.

Got a chance, years ago, to drive a military Hummer at AM General's proving 
ground - that Hummer was the most capably off roader I've ever driven - we 
followed a pro driver and there were place/obstacles that we went over that 
I wouldn't have attempted without seeing the pro go over them first - like a 
2 foot or so vertical log wall, that the Hummer just went about and scaled.
