It is good to have moderately large but also profiled monitor.

Dag, this is one of the stronger works from you, at least in the opinion
of this very viewer.

I do regret the fact that we couldn't get to meet when we visited Jostein...

Looked at this again just now. It reminds me very much of a set of
photographs I saw at the galleries last Thursday, an exhibit of ten
prints named Partial Landscapes ...

Like this, most of the frame was white space and the details of a
small portion of the landscape showed (the actual image portion was
typically about the size of a 3x5 print in a print that was at least
A3 size). The effect of these ten prints was that your brain filled
in the rest of the scene ... Against the white gallery walls, they
all collaborated to produce quite an unusual and effective, enormous
landscape. It is a very neat idea and a quite an unusual way to show
a sweeping landscape by using the imagination as the canvas.

On the web, subtle details are a little hard to distinguish. But I'm
sure in print it would be spectacular, especially if it was a

can still get a sense of the scale of the environment.

2008-03-30 Thread Marcus A. Hofmann
Really, I am in no way competent to say if this is a good picture or
not, but what happened to me is that on my 15 screen, Safari not
running full-screen, only the top-left three-quarters of the image
showed up. I wondered why it wasn't loading. Then I thought I had some
smears on my display, and only then did I realize the picture was
actually loaded when I scrolled around to find the two persons in the
lower right corner. And I am still not sure what the actual motive is,
besides the two persons... mountains? Is it supposed to look like that?

Yes it could have been easier to see the mountain, but thet was part
of the point. Under these conditions you both see and don´t see and in

describe. A few minutes later I didn¨t see the people. There was just
