PESOs a woody for Frank, and a couple others from the Folsom Street Fair
The Folsom Street Fair is a San Francisco Leather Pride celebration. On one hand it is an incredibly rich opportunity to photograph certain elements of society enjoying life with an exuberance which is hard to believe. On the other hand, sometimes seeing this exuberance makes you want to scrub your brain with steel wool and bleach. I've got a set of photos from today that would probably all be OK in most reasonably liberal workplaces. I did get one photo of someone's woody, that I think Frank might appreciate: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ellarsee/8018818394/ I think that this photo captures the exuberance, without showing anything too outrageously risque: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ellarsee/8018815163/ It was nearly as much fun checking out the camera gear in use at the fair. Of course there was the usual assortment of canikon SLRs. I also saw a K-7 and two full frame Pentax SLRs. One was an ME, I didn't catch what the other was. I also saw an 8x10 view camera, a 6x7 rangefinder or two, several MF film cameras, and a Nikon F set up to shoot from ground level. I was amused to note this ginger, with a DSLR around her neck, photographing some of the local color with her cell phone: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ellarsee/8018824050/ While none of these photos are actually lewd, I advise caution as to who might be looking over your shoulder if and when you open the links. Actually, I prefer bamboo... ;-) Looks like a cool bike though. Seriously, I think that metal is best for a strong, long lasting frame for heavy urban use. Cheers, frank What can be asserted without proof can be dismissed without proof. -- Christopher Hitchens --- Original Message --- From: Larry Colen l...@red4est.com Sent: September 24, 2012 9/24/12 To: Pentax-Discuss Mail List pdml@pdml.net Subject: PESOs a woody for Frank, and a couple others from the Folsom Street Fair The Folsom Street Fair is a San Francisco Leather Pride celebration. Nice. These always remind me of the Wright brothers bike on display at the Air and Space Museum in DC: http://airandspace.si.edu/wrightbrothers/artifactGallery/gallery.cfm?Q=5 The day I was there, everyone was clustered around the bike and ignoring the Wright Flyer. The bike just looks so modern. On Mon, Sep 24, 2012 at 9:01 AM, knarftheria...@gmail.com knarftheria...@gmail.com wrote: Actually, I prefer bamboo... ;-) Looks like a cool bike though. Interestingly my most recently purchased bike has a frame made by a company named after the neighborhood that photo was taken in: http://www.somafab.com/archives/product/double-cross -- Larry Colen l...@red4est.com sent from i4est -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
