Art, the guy I shot with all weekend, said it would be easier to
photograph an electron than this bird... It's a tiny bird that rarely
stopped moving and became the f-ing titmouse! during the morning's
shoot. He was pretty predictable, returning to the same perches over
and over again which made catching the little bastard easier.

The picture is perfect.
I would expect to see it in a field guide.

I hate you -
photographing dickey birds is soo difficult and this is such a lovely shot

Your birds really ought to go in a field guide - because your captures
make identifying them
so easily but they are beautifully composed as well

How about a bird calendar for next year?

New lens? nah! Just my [EMAIL PROTECTED] ski11z! Seriously, having the
right
equipment makes the captures easier for sure. But I've also noticed a
big difference in my shooting style and an improvement in my images just
from experience and understanding.

Thanks. You have to understand that, except for snaps of the kids, I'm
pretty much single-mindedly focused on birds. All my gear, techniques
and experience is in shooting them and nothing else. I suck at people
pics, landscapes and street photography. I'm happy to say that I've
seen a huge improvement in my own bird shots and I strive for better and
better.

It's nice, except that the DOF makes it look like it could have been

RE: PESO - last one for a long time

2007-05-11 Thread Tom C
Lovely!

Don't you like it how birds return to the exact same 1 area on a twig or
limb over and over again? The downside is one's body gets 'locked' in
position with the camera and tripod, and fatigue starts setting in.

I have exactly the same sense with this as I had with the ground squirrel.
Just ever slightly too light. I still could be wrong..

Great job.

Tom C.
