After looking at Mark's shots, I was half considering the 6-hour drive north. There is something compelling about crashing waves on a shore, particularly with an interesting lighthouse or other man-made structure in the frame. But I was told I need to be here to help put up the Christmas tree, and so I'll just enjoy Mark's images for now and wait for another time to test the K-3 in extreme conditions.
