Thanks. Yes, I'm not set up more much post processing here -- too much to
do!

Re: PESO:: Green Sea Turtles

2019-01-22 Thread John

I hope the state of Hawaii is able to step up and take up the slack.

The National Seashore here in North Carolina is affected by the government
shutdown and in addition to reports of people trashing the facilities, there
have been several reports of people in 4WD vehicles driving out on sections of
the beach that are normally closed to protect turtles & migratory birds.

Maybe a smidge more along the lower edge so the end of the flipper isn't cut

Contrary to some others I actually like the composition and the inclusion of
bits of the other turtles, it shows its part of a group but focuses on the one
individual. I think there is a good balance to the composition but I do wish
there were just a wee wider strip of sand between the rock and the edge of the
frame in the bottom right. I like that the back portion of the shell mimics
the angle of the profile of the rock.

Is it resting its head there because the rock is warm? I like the shot, it says
"Yeah I'm just going to rest here a moment."

Re: PESO:: Green Sea Turtles

2019-01-21 Thread Daniel J. Matyola
Thanks for looking Jack. I agree with you, but the turtles were gathered
together in a tight group, with one's fin often resting on its neighbor's
back. Much like the sea lions on Pier 39 in SF. I just tried to focus on
an interesting one and exclude as much of its surroundings as I could.
