I've been in the middle of the field where one of those took place, a couple of times. You really can only distinguish the noise from the closest balloon. There was a huge crowd, and a lot of balloons almost directly overhead, since the wind was very weak. I was trying to get one image to include as many of the balloons as possible and still include a feeling for the size and activity of the crowd. This was not entirely successful, but it was the most of each I was able to capture in the same frame. The people on the ground look a little burnt in, like the saturation/exposure was pushed too far to get the balloons to show up clearly in what is obviously a very unforgiving light. In Photoshop I could mask that off with a layer mask so that the exposure/saturation applied only to the balloons.
