this image. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

Hi Bob,

I think we did go by indeed, if we went under the southern end of the
bridge then on towards the Rock we would have passed the piers for
sure. The V is still going strong but probably not getting as much
work as it used to as are few of my Pentax lenses because I tend to be
shooting my Sigma zooms mostly these days. :(

Thanks Marnie, I appreciate all input, I'm in two minds also, I have
since re-shot the scene but moved futher along the adjacent pier so as
to include more of the bridge so none of the piers and the walkway on
the right are visible any more. I'm pretty pleased with the new image
but I would have liked to include some kind of foreground anchor, in
the new image there is just water in the foreground. I might post a
copy later in the day.

Hi Don, thanks, to be perfectly honest it's not much of a pano, the
overlap was huge, the increased horizontal angle of view was limited
but made for a more pleasing overall composition I think.

Thanks Charles, really I don't often find the stop down beyond f8 when
shooting ultra wides, the image is sharp but it's more to do with the
fact that the camera was resting on a very solid steel post I suspect.
I used the 2sec mirror pre-fire so that I could get my hands away,
that's why the vertical angle of view isn't optimal, I should revisit
the spot and use a tripod I think.

Thanks for all who viewed and especially those who commented too.
