Ya think cost may have some bearing on this ?

Of course. And that's the whole point, isn't it? While the large
dinosaurs (ie. out of production...) are excellent tools, the less
costly alternatives are good enough for most applications anyway.

The briefest of looks at the gallery and those which have been shown here,

There is no conspiracy against the PDML.

A while ago I posted a Q to PDML and DPreview, asking if people voted
if they didn't submit anything. At the time, some of my pics had been
in the queue for nearly 3 weeks which was unusual. After my post, it
took 10 hours to get rejects on most of them. One or two stayed on,
and got accepted a few days later.

With re. to wildlife, btw, the most used lens seems to be the FA- and
F- 300mm f/4.5. The large-aperture and longer focal lenght tele-lenses
are very modestly represented by comparison.

Recently Accepted for the Pentax Gallery

2007-12-26 Thread Jack Davis
Per our earlier speculations as to possible Pentax Gallery theme
preferences, I just took a glance at their Recently Accepted images.
While my 'review' was fairly casual, it appears, at least to me, not to
be blatantly weighted to any particular theme.
