I've watched several of their reviews having seen the links here. Well, if you take them just as an opinion of few persons (assuming, they do have a team of reviewers, not just two guys) who have brief experience with great many various cameras, and more extensive experience with rather few of them - I think everything falls into place. I for one, quite liked watching the reviews simply because they are far more alive than most of what is written on the net, especially by sites such as DXO or DPR. My problem with it is my experience with Sony in general ... I've never had a Sony consumer electronics product that didn't fail within 24 hours of the warranty expiring. Well, John, you ought to realize that if that was really the case, Sony couldn't possibly have achieved their size and status similar to that of Microsoft or Google but in electronics. Having watched way too many of his reviews (often just for the entertainment, not because I cared about the camera or lens), I've come to believe he does know his s*!t but will play dumb for the sake of comedy. Plus, I'm 95% certain DigitalRev sees these videos as advertising, not really as technical reviews :-) In any case, when he doesn't like something, he's clear about it and doesn't mince words, and I don't think I've ever seen him praise a Sony product like he did the A7(r).
