yes i understand however even Linux has bugs and issues...
i'm currently installing Fedora 14 as web server and joomla has big issues
on fedora 14 with right permissions and writable configuration.php file...
everybody raises issue about that and till now none of their solution
worked... :-(

basically web page needs between 1 to 2 s to load, but as it is a testing
computer it is not a huge problem... main problem is that component for
joomla as akeeba backup fails to backup web site while under Windows XP it
worked perfectly...

it's a php component for joomla so it is written in PHP.
it access to DB as also the whole site root structure to backup database
structure , data as also web site folders and files.
due to slow freeing ressources (php pointers, memory, andso on...) the
backup process fails each time...

[PHP] table mixing PHP, javascript, ajax and CSS

2008-12-28 Thread Alain Roger
Hi,

i'm currently working on some project which needs in several pages, a table
to display query results...till now nothing special.
however, in order to not create several time the table and features i've
decided to create my own templates including PHP classes, CSS and
javascript.

this table class should have filter, colors schemes, multi selection and
header/paging header.
I would like to know what are your suggestions, recommendations or tips to
have something easy to deploy and upgrade ?

i was thinking to have a common (framework) base : a simple html file having
3 divs, each div receiving a particular php file (header, pagin, or the
table itself)
header, paging or table PHP files could be located in some folder being
different for each template... main changes in templates are usually for the
table it self (in terms of columns amount, of presented data record,...)

basically my structure is the following one:
/folder_to_include_by_user_in_his_development_environment
   /templates
  /template1
 pager.php
 table.php
  /template2
 pager.php
 table.php
  header.php
   frame.php
   /class
  table_class.php
  helping_classes.php
  ...
   /js_and_ajax
 function.js

the user will have only to run a js function which will include the
frame.php file into his own webpage with the template given as parameter.

thx for any suggestion.

In fact my class has for purpose to be used in several projects and
therefore, to write the css/js files from the web page using the class would
be a mistake in the way that could not be redistributed without missing
those files.

 Can you not just write all of the CSS/Javascript that you need right
 from the get-go in the same place you're writing out your Javascript
 now?

 I'm not sure I follow you then. You say you want your class to be able
 to include those files, then you say that you don't want to.

 Have you considered having PHP check for the existence of the files
 you're trying to include before outputting the HTML that includes them?

 Also, if you are outputting Javascript code that then uses a
 createElement to include more code, how does the Javascript know it can
 include the files if they don't exist for every installation?

so we for sure misunderstood eachother :-)
let's say i have an index.php page in which i create an instance of my class
CTable.
to do that i need to include the CTable.php file into my index.php (till now
no problem)
for that : include_once 'Class/CTable.php';

in the CTable.php file i have my class definition and implementation as
following:
class CTable
{
  blah blah...
}

my CTable class has a Render function which will write html code into the
current index.php page.
within this code should be written some javascript command as also some css
classnames.

till now no problem.

the problem is that in this code (that write my class) into index.php there
are some javascrip command and css classnames, which are linked to external
(in the Class directory) files CTable.js and CTable.css.
those 2 files should be loaded by the class CTable itself...and this is what
i do using echo and createElement.
it works well but it is not clean from my point of view...that's why i was
looking for another solution...more... let say professional.

you're right if you want to write them directly in the index.php.
but in my case i want the class to do it by itself.

after restaring the whole server apache+postgresql + php, i run a simple

phpinfo show that it runs based on the php.ini from D:\webserver\php folder

 So you've edited the right file, restarted the web server (Apache or
 IIS) and it's still showing the old configuration. Just a quick
 question, you're not trying to run PHP on Vista are you, as this has
 some godawful behaviour on files it deems as system files, and it's an
 absolute pain to actually try and edit them, even from an admin account!

 If you are still having troubles and it's not Vista, have you made sure
 that the libraries (dll files) you are trying to use actually exist?
 They will usually be in the php directory, or in a sub-folder called
 extensions. You might need to add the path to the system path to make
 sure Windows can find them.

it seems that it's a known problem. can someone comment it ?

so i've downloaded PHP 5.2.5 winzip package and replace 5.2.6 files by 5.2.5
for the following files:
php_pdo_pgsql.dll
php_pgsql.dll

and it works perfectly.
so this is clear that something is wronf with those 2 files in the 5.2.6
version.

 Alain, you've been on this list long enough to know that it does not work
 is not enough information for people to be able to help you.

 You're right and i feel sorry. i thought i paste my code just after the

ok, anyway i solved my problem somehow :-)

 Firstly there is no need to serialise anything going into the session.
 Secondly I assume you want to store objects not classes.

yes.

 Thirdly there is no reason why it should not work, but there are some
 caveats you need to be aware of...

 * The class definition must have been loaded before session_start() is
 called, otherwise you'll end up with an object of type stdClass rather than
 your class.

this was my mistake...i mean to not call the class file before starting the

i mean that:
while ($row = mysql_fetch_object($result))

i would like to access to header itself to reset those $_POST data to avoid

therefore how can i get the header data and change them ?

Hi,

i'm on PHP training and our lector is telling us that to avoid counting an
array item amout thanks count($my_array), he tells we can do:
while($my_array)
{
 ... do something
}
but from experience this is an infinity loop...

it should be always something like
$count = count($my_array);
while($i = $count)
{
...
do something
...
$i++;
}

has someone already use such syntax ? i mean as the first one.
thx.

[PHP] table and class

2008-10-21 Thread Alain Roger
Hi,

in my web application (as quite all web applications) i have a lot of
tables. I mean by table the table tag with for sure some data displayed in
it from SQL requests.
To not have to write the whole code every time i was thinking to make a
class that :
- will manage the whole design (color, images, width, height of cells,...)
- will manage the paging (to limit the data transfer from DB server to
client browser)
- will manage the sorting and search (classic and advanced) of data based on
some online built query (user should be able to do something like field1 =
value 1 OR field 1 = value2 AND field4 = a)

therefore i would like to know if to encapsulate everything in PHP classes
(integrating javascript and css) will be the best approach or not ?
because i would like to keep it as simple as possible in order to
redistribute later this package.

or should i mix javascript classes and PHP classes ?

thx.

2008-10-14 Thread Alain Roger
Hi,

i'm currently using PDO as it seems better than any other pg_connect and so

for example the following code returns me the correct records (count and
records themselve)

 $sql =SELECT * FROM sewe.languages;;

   $result = DatabaseHandler::Prepare($sql);

   //$res=DatabaseHandler::Execute($result);

   $rec = DatabaseHandler::GetAll($result);

   echo Amount of records : .count($rec).br/;

   for ($i = 0; $i  count($rec); $i++)
   {
   print Record ID : .$rec[$i]['id']. / Abbreviation :
 .$rec[$i]['abbreviation'].  / Description
 :.$rec[$i]['description'].br/;
   }

 however if i replace this simple SQL request by my function./stored
procedure like that :

 $sql = 'select * from get_languages_list(*);';

it does not work...in fact it returns me 0 as count of record, whereas under
postgreSQL pgAdmin interface the same syntax of SQL request returns me the
same result as the previous SQL selct * from...

so where could be the issue when PDO uses stored procedures/functions ?

thx.

 this is a standard response for me recently; but have you looked in to
 using flex 3 to build the clientside?

 additionally ajax's main benefit (in my mind) is that it allows you to pull
 down/update only the data you need, and not the whole page - often this
 means you can skip out a large part of the templating and make the php
 server side scripts so much lighter; very beneficial when polling. Other
 than that, as everyone has mentioned - it's mainly a cosmetic thing.

 The function you need to look into is called serialize.

This is what i did afterall, but when i unserialize it like this way:
$bci = unserialize($_SESSION['bc']);
foreach($bci as $key=$value)

i get absolutely the same result as the code below.
in fact $key returns me the 2 variables member of the Class. but not the

any idea ?

{
echo br/value[$row]['name'] :

echo br/value[$row]['link'] :

echo br/value[$row]['id'] : .$bci-crumb[$row]['id'].br/;
}
and it works like a charm.
but how can i optimize it ?
i mean foreach could do the work better ?

[PHP] navigation / location bar

2008-09-30 Thread Alain Roger
Hi,

a lot of web sites propose a locationbar (something like dynamic map site)
to end user when they are browsing the website.
usually i looks like that:

Home Products Software Operating System Windows XP

User can come back to a previous parent node by just clicking on the name,
for example : Software.

so:
1. what is the best method to use to create such location bar ? (array
stored in session variable ?)
2. how to populate this bar ? (each time that user visit a page, the array
is updated. if yes, how ?)

 These are usually called breadcrumbs and come in two forms. One is true to
 the name and the other is actually the page location on the site rather than
 crumbs.

 True breadcrumbs store the URL and name of the last n pages the user
 visited and displays them as links to allow the user to go back through
 their browser history. Since this duplicates functionality that exists in
 99.9% of browsers out there this type is pretty rare these days. These
 are pretty simple to implement but you need some way to store an RRD array
 between requests.

 The more common type of breadcrumb is simply the location within the site.
 Your example above is of this type. Occasionally you'll find these are
 customised slightly based on user activity but for the most part they're
 simply an indication of where in the site structure the page is.

 Given that they're linked more to the page than the user there's no need to
 track anything between pages unless you want to customise them for the user.
 All your site need to be able to do is create the heirarchy up to the
 homepage from any page.

 As examples check out the following pages (under the orange bar)...

 http://uk.freeads.net/
 http://pets.uk.freeads.net/
 http://pets.uk.freeads.net/cats/
 http://pets.uk.freeads.net/cats/search?for=kitten

 And regional versions...

 http://aberdeen.uk.freeads.net/
 http://aberdeen.uk.freeads.net/pets/
 http://aberdeen.uk.freeads.net/pets/cats/
 http://aberdeen.uk.freeads.net/pets/cats/search?for=kitten

 If your site can't figure out where it is in the heirarchy then you've got
 other problems more important than not being able to give the user
 breadcrumbs.

Couldn't Connect:

but if i have the error_reporting set to 0, i only get my die message
Couldn't connect.

i would like to know if i let the setting E_ALL do i have a way how to not
display the warning message to end users but to display only Couldn't

 I don't think you set error reporting to an actual number in the
 php.ini. It should read something like

 error_reporting = E_ALL  ~E_WARNING

 if you want all errors but not the warnings.

Ok i found where was the problem.
basically when i install php 5.2.6 with installer.msi, i must after copy
over those files, the content of the php-5.2.6-Win32.zip file, because
several files and links are not installed / done by the installer.msi :-(
just try to install it with default settings and you will see that in
php.ini there is not section for windows extensions like in previous version
so we can not dynamically add a module. Or for example, even if you select
some module a the installation time, the files are installed but when you
type php -v at command line, you get an error that the file libpq.dll is not
available (whereas it is)... plus some other librairies (dll) files.

 Attached files are stripped automatically by mailman before
 redistributing messages to the list.

 Please copy and paste the errors into the body of the message instead.

[PHP] php.ini and pgsql extension issue

2008-08-03 Thread Alain Roger
Hi,

i found and solved an interesting issue under PHP 5.2.6.

when i use the standard installation file under windows XP
(php-5.2.6-win32-installer.msi), i get several error message in apache
error.log file, something like :
PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library
'D:\\webserver\\PHP\\ext\\php_mssql.dll' - The specified module could not be
found.\r\n in Unknown on line 0

and this for several extensions even if the files are correctly installed in
the right folder.
I took a previous version of PHP 5.2.3 extension (dll) and i compare the
size:
in PHP 5.2.6, php_pgsql.dll is 96 kb whereas it is 164 kb under PHP 5.2.3.

so i just replace the 96 kb file by the 164 kb and restart apache 2.2.8. now
it works perfectly.
i reproduced the same thing for all dynamic extensions which were generating
the same issue and all works.

it could be interesting that developers of PHP take an eye on it.

[PHP] E-Shop system

2008-08-02 Thread Alain Roger
Hi,

i'm currently analyzing an e-shop system.
i understand how to display products and so on, however i still have some
question marks on the following topics:

1. what is the best way for showing product image ?
- to store them in DB or onto filesystem as simple image files ?
- each product should have 2 images (1 small when user browser the
catalogue, 1 huge (standard) when user wants to see how product looks like).
Should be 1 or 2 images ? I mean should i store in DB/filesystem the
standard file and reduce size for user browsing ?

2. billing interaction
basically i was thinking to allow users to pay via PayPal, Bank2Bank and by
credit card.
- What i do not understand is how can i interact with such third party
company ?
- for paypal: how can i redirect user to PayPal and pay to my account and
how to get back information that he paid (and that i can send the good) ?
- Bank transfer: how can i control it ?
- Credit card payment: how can i be sure that when user give me his credit
card number, my application will secure it enough ? how can i get back
information that it's true...user paid the good and i can send him the
product ?

thanks a lot for all your feedback.

[PHP] first e-shop

2008-07-05 Thread Alain Roger
Hi,

I need to create an e-shop in PHP.
this is for me the first time that i need to do that and i think the way how
to approach such topic is different that creating a simple corporate web
site.

Here are the standard features that i need to implement:
- home page including latest article/news, offers, discounts, material
tests

e-shop should:
- allow users to search good by selecting a category (and/or sub category)
or by specifying parameters in search tool
- allow users to browse goods
- catalog of good should be browsable offering a short description of the
good, name of good, picture, price and link to more detailed information
- allow basket usage for ordering goods.
- allow payment by several using different methods (credit cards, paypal,
and so on...)

Administrative part of the web site should also:
- allow archivings of old article/news, and material/good tests
- allow composing of articles, tests, and so on... including pictures page
setup.
- allow management of goods and catalog.

as you can see something really standard... however, i would like to do it
well from the beginning, so i would like to know if some example or tutorial
(even if partial) exist on internet..
and for sure,, you are experienced in such topics, so to what should i pay
attention ?

thanks a lot,

[PHP] AJAX and PHP

2008-04-21 Thread Alain Roger
Hi,

i'm playing around with AJAX and PHP to create something like a small
desktop application.
basically the first step is to log in the system.
for that i have a log-in form where users can choose the interface language.

here is my problem :
when the log-in form runs, it is in English. user can click on some arrow to
open another DIV and display all other languages available.
a click on a particular flag, will call the PHP page where the log-in form
(login field + password field) are stored with dynamic language interface.

however, i make no sense for the title of this form to call a PHP page where
will be just 1 dynamic text (changing on flag choice).
so if you understand well, i have 2 divs (1 for form title, 1 for log-in
form itself). and i load thanks AJAX php code into divs.

my problem is that i do not want to write a PHP page just for 1 label... it
makes sense for a complete form but not for a simple text line or label.

So how can i do that without refreshing page. using AJAX and PHP only ?
i guess you already faced such situation so i would really appreciate your
help.

Re: [PHP] AJAX and PHP

2008-04-21 Thread Alain Roger
you understood right.

basically my problem is that the layout avoid it.
here is something like my layout :

div#0
div#1Lanague (label) : img flag img arrow to show all languages from
div#2/div#1
div#2 all flags/div#2
div#3 login field  + pwd field + submit button/div#3
/div#0

till now i only use AJAX to refresh the content of div#3
but it does not change the label from div#1 when user selects another
language from div#2.

if i place the whole form into a PHP i face several questions :
- how the ajax will reload this PHP page (reloading itself) in the parent
control div#0 ?
- when user will click on submit button, where will be loaded the content
return of checking if log+pwd are correct ?
- how to redirect to another PHP page, when user click on submit button ?
the redirection will happen only in the content div, so only in div#0 and
not into the browser :-(

 Making an Ajax request for one little label maybe a bit overkill.
 As i understand you request the whole form through an Ajax request. And
 display this to the user? And every language generates a new form?

 Why not just create the form dynamically with javascript and load the data
 from PHP. So the form can stay the same for all calls. You just fill it with
 data depending on the language selected. You can fill the form for instance
 by sending a JSON encoded object from PHP to javascript.

Re: [PHP] AJAX and PHP

2008-04-21 Thread Alain Roger
in fact i meant by redirecting the following thing :
- if user wrote a correct pwd and login, the system should redirect [using
header(Location ] syntax to launch the application.
but if i use such syntax it will be redirected only into the div#0, and not
in the browser itslef.

is it clearer now ?

  basically my problem is that the layout avoid it.
  here is something like my layout :

  div#1Lanague (label) : img flag img arrow to show all languages
  from
  div#2/div#1
  div#2 all flags/div#2
  div#3 login field  + pwd field + submit button/div#3
  /div#0

  till now i only use AJAX to refresh the content of div#3
  but it does not change the label from div#1 when user selects another
  language from div#2.

 Well it looks like you need a extra Ajax call to the server.

 Click a language flag sends a request to the server. The server responds
 with an JSON object. Containing the content for div#2. With javascript you
 can update the contents of div#2

  if i place the whole form into a PHP i face several questions :
  - how the ajax will reload this PHP page (reloading itself) in the
  parent
  control div#0 ?

 If you would like to reload the whole of div#0 You could send and JSON
 object from PHP to javascript. And let javascript generate the div structure
 and update the DOM.

  - when user will click on submit button, where will be loaded the content
  return of checking if log+pwd are correct ?

 When a user logs in a Ajax request is send to the server. the server
 responds with an JSON object containing the error message. With javascript
 you could update the contents of div#3 to display a message.

  - how to redirect to another PHP page, when user click on submit button ?
  the redirection will happen only in the content div, so only in div#0
  and
  not into the browser :-(

 I have a hard time understanding this last issue. What exactly do you mean
 by redirecting to another PHP page?

for that i have a log-in form where users can choose the interface

a click on a particular flag, will call the PHP page where the

so if you understand well, i have 2 divs (1 for form title, 1 for

[PHP] php, ajax and international application

2008-04-21 Thread Alain Roger
Hi,

Till now, i'm used to have a php file (for each language) to store all text
labels for my international application.
i tried with Ajax to improve it but it seems not so flexible at it promised.
my purpose was to limit the transfer data and especially to not load too
much the server with not important calculation as localization of
application.

therefore, i would like to know what do you do to have an international
application ?
1. do you use JSON : 1 javascript file for each language and for each
module. Code is not secured and everybody can read it.
2. do you use PHP like i wrote above.
3. you use another method

I would be glad to here from you the pros and cons of your experiences.

thx.

Hi,
i face now a little issue regarding how end user can access to some modules
of my web portal.

Let imagine we have several modules (let say: mod1, mod 2, mod3) and 2 users
(usr1, usr2).
i would like to use a simple way how to established access rights for each
user to grant/forbidden access to modules.
i was thinking that a simple code like on linux could fit this need where i
could have execute/change/read access and this for each module.

for example, usr1 could have stored into DB the access rights 710 (knowing
that rights are based on mod3 | mod2 | mod1)
so usr1 :
- could execute some particular actions, change data and read data from
module 3
- could just read data for module 2
- does not have access to module 1

something similar for usr2 could be setup.

on each php pages/module, the user rights are checked and based on result,
the correct decision is taken by the web portal system.

i would like to know if such technique is a correct one, or if there is
something much more better ?

thanks a lot,

[PHP] page content duration

2008-03-29 Thread Alain Roger
Hi,

i have a strange behavior on my web page.
i have a form where users can enter their email address to subscribe to
newsletter.
if user already exists the page inform him and allow him to go back thanks a
button.

clicking on this button, load another page (initial page with the form for
newsletter registration).
if user enter another email address and click on the submit button... even
if the email is not registered into DB (as user who want newsletter
registration), the page display the message user already registered.
it's like it keeps in mind the previous email address...

here is my code :

div id='newsletter_form'
 form id='form_email' name='form_newsletter'
 method=POST action=../newsletter/
 input id='field_email' type='text' name='email'
 value='?php print module_msg($welcome,$Lang, 'type_email'); ?'
 onfocus=if(this.value=='?php print
 module_msg($welcome,$Lang, 'type_email'); ?'){this.value=''};
 onblur=if (this.value==''){ this.value='?php
 print module_msg($welcome,$Lang, 'type_email'); ?' }; /
 input id='btn_signin' type='submit' name='signin'
 value='?php print module_msg($welcome,$Lang, 'Sign_in'); ?' /
 /form
 /div

i just added a feature to auto-complete the text field (email) in case of
user already wrote email and clicked on back button of the registration
checking page just to avoid him to rewrite email address...
but anyway it should not keep it in mind... there is not $_SESSION variable.

this code works perfectly under FF, but not under Opera, safari and IE 6.

what could it be ?

from client browser time needed to load page :-(

mywebpage.php - 12 s after optimalization

correct_email_address is referencing to $email without problem.

  i would like to test it locally.

  thanks for your feedback.

 I could be wrong, but I thought that you had to specify the SMTP server
 in the php.ini file.

 http://us2.php.net/manual/en/ref.mail.php#ini.smtp

   now i would like to test if my application send emails, so i've
 checked my
   php.ini file and it seems ok.

 Maybe that means you already did that. The second issue might be that
 your SMTP server is MS Exchange, and it requires authentication.

 If that is the case, then search for php SMTP authentication:

Re: [PHP] SMTP

2008-03-10 Thread Alain Roger
Hi Ray,

we tested it with telnet and it seems that it works... but my mail client
does not receive it. :-(
php mail function just tells me that email can not be delivered.
here is the function:

 if (mail($to, $subject, $body))
 {
 echo(pMessage successfully sent!/p);
 }
 else
 {
 echo(pMessage delivery failed.../p);
 }

and it returns false... so message delivery failed.
and i use on the same local PC so no ISP. server is used.

Al.

I'm curious what's the error you get when you use the mail function?

 Also, if you have SMTP running on port 25 you should be able to telnet
 localhost 25 and run some SMTP commands (EHLO, etc).

 Beware as well that some ISPs block port 25 so you may need to use their
 SMPT
 server instead of yours, if you can telnet your SMTP server but not send
 emails,
 then you either:
 1 - Need to authenticate yourself against your SMTP server, or
 2 - You have port 25 blocked, and need to use your ISP's server, or an
 external
 SMTP server that you can talk to on a port other than 25.

 Rob

 So which HTTP server are you using? You stated earlier that you
 have Apache 2.24 on there, but here you say that you're using IIS. If
 you're using Apache, the IIS web server configuration will have
 nothing to do with anything.

   so does it exist a free SMTP server (similar that linux daemon) but
 running
   on windows XP ?

 I may be incorrect on this, but I'm pretty sure that
 Win2K/XP/Vista have Microsoft Exchange bundled in for SMTP. Check in
 Add/Remove Programs Windows Components Internet Information
 Services (I think, but I'm guessing I really don't use Windows
 that often). Even though it has the same name (IIS), in this case,
 it's the category for all Internet services. There should be
 something mentioning SMTP there.

   if yes, where can i find it and what steps should i perform to be sure
 my
   emails are sent ?

 Check the logs for Exchange/SMTP or whatever other MTA you decide
 to use and see if there's anything mentioned about the problem. It
 could be an authentication/negotiation issue. Also, check your
 Windows firewall (or third-party software) to ensure that you can
 connect to localhost:25. The easiest way to test this is as follows:

 Start  Run
 Type: cmd
 Type: telnet localhost 25
 If it connects, type: HELO localhost
 Note the response.

You can then try sending a message through the server manually, if
 you'd like. While still connected via Telnet as shown above, type the
 following (replacing things as necessary):

 MAIL FROM: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
 RCPT TO: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
 DATA
 Subject: Testing Email from Telnet
 This is a test.
 .

Always end with a period on a line of its own. That should show
 you what, if any, error messages are being kicked out by your SMTP
 server.

[PHP] send form by email with image spam controler

2008-03-08 Thread Alain Roger
Hi,

i would like to allow web site users to fill a form when they request
information.
the purpose is to have something standardized and later on to archive all
those request into database.
to avoid spammer, i was thinking to use a code image which change to each
page refresh in order to be sure that user is human and not a simple robot
:-)
after that, all data should be sent by web site (maybe a particular email
account or function) to email address [EMAIL PROTECTED]

is there a simple way to do that or a better way ?

moreover where could i find similar example ? especially about image
checking...
thx

this is usually used for title articles or some long paragraphs.
What is the basic rule ?
Text is cut off based on (numbers of words, number of characters,..) ?

 You're not making a lot of sense, really...

 I you don't want ANY users to see ANYTHING that's in your folder,
 don't have a website. :-)

 The whole point of a website IS to show the world a bunch of stuff in
 that folder.

 So what you really must mean is (probably) one of these:
  hide the contents of some sub-folder
  hide some of things in that folder, but not others
  hide the included files
  hide specific content
  hide content from non-registered users

 Pick one and we can answer that, or you can Google for it.

Hi,

Serveral web sites have a menu and when you pass your mouse over a link, the

the complete address including the file link.

i mean if you take web site : http://www.zend.com/en/
when you pass your mouse cursor over Company link, it displays only :
http://www.zend.com/en/company; in the statusbar of your browser.
how is it possible whereas the link points to company/index.htm ?

ok, maybe i did not write my question well.
i already used it because i setup the DirectoryIndex to index.php,

my concern for now, how to have the same behavior on my local computer
(development computer) ?
my computer has IP 200.170.1.2 (for example)
so in my brower i type : 200.170.1.2/myWebSite

this load my firt index.php webpage to browser... if i pass my mouse cursor
over menu link Company, it displays
http://200.170.1.2/myWebSite/200.170.1.2/company
which is not great :-(

here is the code i use :
print div class='MenuItem4'a
href='.$_SERVER['SERVER_NAME']./company'Company/a/div;

 In that example the link takes you to http://www.zend.com/en/company/
 - not http://www.zend.com/en/company/index.htm

 index.htm is the default file it looks for based on apache config.

 See http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/mod_dir.html for more info.
 You can set it to whatever you like, but as a rule apache uses
 index.html or index.htm or index.php and asp/asp.net uses default.asp
 or default.aspx.
